Interesting. Cheers 🥂
ОтветитьThis was great info 💯
ОтветитьWe have been using the house line and addressing it for WEEKS and WEEKS and our puppy is NOT ignoring it AT ALL! She has chewed through two house lines in three weeks. Soo, we are getting frustrated at using the house line and are open to suggestions. Please!
ОтветитьGreat info. However, my new puppy is an adult dog almost 2 years old. She has never been trained at all and was mostly kept in a kennel most of the time before I got her. My biggest problem with her is getting her to consistently do her "business" outside. Can this line trick work with an adult dog?
ОтветитьI have a very tiny puppy, do I need to crate train him?
ОтветитьIm so glad I watched this video. Subscribed!
ОтветитьI don’t agree with it!!
ОтветитьSuper interesting. The direction of the video (camera zooms/pans, walking around, topical cuts of dogs doing things) does an excellent job of keeping your attention in the right place. The only time my attention wandered was when she asked "how long should I use x"; I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the obviously incoming "It depends" and started thinking about ways to ask the question better that would lead viewers to the correct (goal-oriented) train of thought more efficiently. That said, I'm sure the way it's asked is meant to specifically take people who default to thinking of "How long" in strict measures and put them on the right path.
Overall, you can tell that like 60% of their job is training the dog and most of the 40% leftover is training the owners; they're clearly well practiced at both.
So what if the puppy gets mad that you are holding on to the leash and starts going after the leash? I have a 10 week old Rottweiler that seems to be getting aggressive for no reason.
ОтветитьYou know your stuff but isnt a loose line dragging behind a puppy dangerous? this can get trapped on corners, around the neck or justna massive trip hazard with tender small bones.. and also just stepping on the lead to abruptly stop a pup while running is also a danger. Bad advice and not for me.
ОтветитьSo basically (this is a theory) the best way to limit a creature (or population) is to limit their freedom? And it's proven to work? Wow, think about that one for a minute.... Now who else would do that?
ОтветитьReally excellent information. Thx
ОтветитьI subscribe for the first sentence 😂
ОтветитьGuilty of too much freedom too soon! Thanks for that reminder.
ОтветитьOkay this gives me a restart. I’ve had my puppy for three weeks and I’ve not had a puppy line so going to get one asap
ОтветитьMy dogs get not trained in a crate, I'm always home and they all trained to lay on the big pillows. It works very well.
ОтветитьAlso winter is coming if I can't get her starting to go outside its 6 months of fighting her to go out in the cold wet snow weather 😑 I'm worried.
ОтветитьDo you recommend the house line instead of the puppy pen?
ОтветитьI have a 5mth old Malshi. Pryor to this I use to have a Maltese and a Bischon-Poo. They had the run of the house after they proved themselves to be worthy of this freedom. They are now gone and thus we are bringing this puppy up differently. He will at some time be allowed access to our entire home when he proves he is worthy. For now he has half of the house for his pleasure while we are home to watch him but he gets crated when we need to leave him and he does not seem to mind. He has plenty of room a soft bed and a couple of toys. He except's it as his safe place even while we are home. We just want to make sure he is safe until we arrive home to a very happy puppy❤
ОтветитьThank you, I learned a lot.
