Why am I watching this I’m not minimalist and am not planning to have kids for at least 10 years
ОтветитьIt's so refreshing to see other Mamas who enjoy the simple, quiet moments with their little ones and make them their priority. All of your videos are so lovely.
Ответитьas a first time mom ,this was so helpful! it helps me refocus and not get pulled into the heavy consumerism . thank you ! ☺
ОтветитьAmazing content. Self-care when you're a brand new mom can be as simple as taking a hot shower, taking the time to lather lotion all over your body instead of just your arms and legs. Shaving your legs. Or even just detangling and combing out your hair fully and feeling how refreshing that feels. Keep it simple Mamas. ❤
ОтветитьI am so happy I found your channel. We grew up as a minimalist family of 8. And when i had my first child, thirteen years ago, minimalism went out the window! Because of marketing, parenting advice, hand-me-downs, mom guilt, and the never-ending baby competitions parents do. We now also have a 5, 4, and 2 year-old and we have 1/4 of what my first child had. And are so much happier. ❤
ОтветитьFor all the new Mamas i recommend reading Simplify your Life with Kids by Elaine St. James, There is No Such Thing As Bad Weather, and Simplicity Parenting. ❤ Amazing books that put things in perspective for a simple life.
ОтветитьAt first, I was a tad nervous with that intro but decided to continue watching.... Calm, realistic, & mature approach. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьDo you have an updated video for 3mo+?
ОтветитьI just use my stroller bassinet instead of a Moses basket 😄
ОтветитьYour voice is extremely calming.
ОтветитьThank you for this video and thank you for your outro You're about to do the best thing ever.
ОтветитьYour outro got me 😢
ОтветитьThank you for this video!
ОтветитьDaily positive affirmations, prayer/meditation, bible time, worship time (taking a walk with music, dancing with baby fun stuff like that....
ОтветитьI’m currently on a marathon with watching your videos and I am genuinely curious. Would you ever consider doing a Q&A or a deep dive into your life before motherhood? I’m not a mother myself as I am still in my early 20s, but I think about the future quite often. Did you always want to be a parent and if so how have you found or come to your outlooks on parenting? You mention Montessori and respectful parenting (both styles I admire) and I would simply love to hear more about your journey as an individual and how it led to your current lived experience.
ОтветитьGreat video!!! 👏🏼😁 currently 36 weeks with baby #4 and I regret all the stuff I had with my first two babies.. 😑🙄 lol I had a lot of things that never got opened or used. Such a waste imo. Minimalist life is so refreshing!
Ответить😊 What a gorgeous lady you are! Your family is lucky to have you. God bless xx this is such a helpful video
ОтветитьThank you for your videos. I’m a mom of three and I’ve been seeking the simple life. Always late, always running to get to the next activity. There’s too much physical and mental clutter that is in the way of what we really need. You’re on the right path and it’s what I aspire to reach ❤️.
ОтветитьWow I have been watching these newborn essentials videos and drowning in marketing tactics and stuff overwhelm. Thank you for bringing me back and getting me excited to welcome this little one into our lives.
ОтветитьWe have that same bath support! It is SO helpful!!
Also, I too enjoy having a weekly Sabbath! John Mark Comer’s book The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry was a game-changer for me.
Something that certainly isn’t a necessity but has added a ton of value to my husband and my lives is an electric sterilizer! I struggled immensely with nursing my daughter and we decided to exclusively formula-feed her, which meant washing and sterilizing lots of bottles every day. It is SO nice to be able to pop the bottles into the sterilizer instead of boiling them.
ОтветитьI’ve been really enjoying your videos! I am currently pregnant with my sixth baby and am interested to see what another mom views as the bare necessities. I had a whole nursery full of baby stuff for my first, but now I know most of it is more of a burden than a help. To your list I think I would just add diapers, a car seat, and a comfortable place to rock that sweet baby.
I am curious as to what your maternity wardrobe capsule looked like. I have donated most of my maternity clothes and would like to buy as few new pieces as possible this time around.
Thank you! 💚
ОтветитьI really vibe with your message and videos! You have said things I needed to hear in my heart. I know you did a QA awhile ago, but I would love to know how you went from working full time to being a SAHM. Also, I know you moved, but what if you couldn't move, but wanted to be a SAHM.
I'm also curious about your thoughts on homeschooling. Are you planning on do it?
Thank our for this
ОтветитьOh for sure i started minimalism at 6 months pregnant with my first, almost 7 years ago. Im currently awaiting my 4th child. I also had twins before this. I realized real quick what i needed first year.
Ответитьwow, I have watched a lot of videos around this theme, but yours is my favorite so far! Instant subscribe. Thank you for your calm, heart-warming, and simple approach that is centered around your experience with baby, not just the things!
