ОтветитьThank you for sharing your thoughtful content…for putting it out there with the passion that many of us need and strive for. I'm starting to listen to you almost every morning. Your voice and words feels real and genuine.
I am grateful to have your channel as a source for having a better relationship with myself and the world around me.
Mental toughness is often portrayed as determination and persistence, but it can also be flexibility and adaptability.
You are tough when your mood is not dependent on your conditions.
I did all this and focused on building business and running marathons , Both things attracted a woman who became my wife , The past 7 years ago her abuse to every aspect of my life destroyed me and now I’m left with Ankylosing spondylitis which got my body to be weak , she left me and I don’t know why I fell for her in first pace, she was after my stability and resources. I always knew she was a carrousel rider and she didn’t love me deeply. I can’t believe how people pray on others , life is short, I think corruption is rampant among feminists and their endeavors to break men, I finally pulled the plug while at my lowest point, Losing my business that I gave 30 years and now I’m 52 years old trying to heal and lift up , The only big problem I have is loneliness anxiety and the anxiety of my multiple injuries from falls and health condition which was triggered by extreme abuse treatment
ОтветитьWow, I’m a business owner, weight lifter, AND I get test anxiety. Seriously 😐 I am all of those. I was zooming out and never realizing it was a “thing”. I’ve had many friends and colleagues tell me I bounce back really fast and keep going. Thanks for the video. I thought I was a weirdo.

ОтветитьFunny. Learned the "everything is temporary" thing in the military. I guess they aren't so traditional after all.
ОтветитьMeditation part is BS.😂😂. Other parts ok.
Ответить1- ZOOM OUT AND EXPLAIN.
2- REAPPRAISE. See the positives/benefits of any difficulty. Its how you interpret things. Perception. Its not what happens to you, its what happens for you.
3- REASSURE. This too shall pass. With every hardship comes ease.
these are 3 ways to turn off the alarm system/amygdala in our brains.
So the third one was the "Why"
For sense of belonging purpose
Thanks
ОтветитьYour book summaries r always wonderful... would love to know how u read books & also how u apply it it ur life...

Zoom out, reappraise, reassure
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьToughness is embracing reality for what it is. Reality is always temporary, therefore, a discomfortable reality shall always pass... so stay strong!
ОтветитьReminds me a lot of what is presented in the "Stockdale Paradox."
ОтветитьI like doing hard things. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ответить"Zoom Out and Explain" is also a spiritual concept called Awareness. It's the saying that you are not your thoughts and emotions, but the real You is the Awareness behind those thoughts and emotions (the person hearing those thoughts and emotions). Meditation helps build the muscle of your Awareness by listening to your breath leave, and then listening to you inhale...and then when your mind drifts, the workout (or muscle building part of it) is to BRING BACK the mind to listening to your breath.
