These recently added Authentication methods have caught my attention for the past few months. I've been busy converting clients from on prem servers to M365BizPrem, so I'm doing "AzureAD joined" on all the workstations. Windows Hello for Business tends to jump right up at first login, prompting to make a PIN. For a few clients that have a compliance need of "MFA at local console access"...I'm working on how to satisfy that. YubiKeys seem to do that, you can assign a unique PIN to each key, and they have biometric models for fingerprint. However, at the ctrl+alt+del login screen, you can still opt to sign in with a different method, and use the old fashioned password approach. Hoping I find a way to disable that feature. Or perhaps use the Authenticator on the phone as another method of sign in for the Windows login. Microsoft is improving this nicely, the old "Approve/Deny" prompt on the authenticator from the old way was too prone to "mfa fatique" where the user let the bad person in too easily. I love the new numbers matching method, with the map for geo location of request.
