I’m at 4/24. I plan to apply for two SW Business Cards (a month apart). Do you think I will be okay to get those two cards?

Im in the same boat Luke, thinking of the CSP for my next card around Oct-Dec hopefully there will be an elevated bonus. I mainly just want access to the transfer partners. After that most likely a downgrade and maybe a CSR in a few years. If you stay at a Hyatt soon you should do a Hilton v Hyatt comparison. As someone with no Hilton exposure and little Hyatt exposure (though nice resort style exposure) is something myself and I think others would love to see!

I have a major complaint about this card. You are supposed to get 5% when booking through the Chase travel portal. Only you don't - you get the same 2% you receive for booking outside the portal and then "in one to two billing cycles" Chase will credit the additional points to your account. What? Seriously?

Man the CSP, is probably my favorite card. low AF, no FTF, excellent travel protections, primary rental CDW, 25% boost via portal, 10% spend boost annually. Whats not to love???

You say that you were over 5/24 when you applied and got approved for CSP. I would like you to give the actual list of your personal credit cards that had you over 5/24 before you applied for the CSP for transparency sake.

Getting experience with credit cards is definitely a massive part of our job as creators. That's exactly why I plan to apply for a couple of cards this year that I've been skeptical about in the past, but I want to get that experience first-hand before making any real judgments. Also, I've personally never gone to book a Hyatt and not been able to use points, although YMMV of course. It all depends on your exact booking, but Hyatt has always treated me great.

I like your content and I would like to ask you if you recommend this chase card I usually travel to Mexico and the rest of Latam but I want to know if this card can serve me with Aeromexico through flight blue air Franc/klm which is chase transfer partner how can I use this method or if it works :/

Good video Luke, I did get the CSP a weeks back thinking in a way into CSR in a year. Now that you mention, sometimes is hard to find award availability for Hyatt, specially for award stays.

I have never had a problem booking a Hyatt hotel with points - I have booked a TON of them.

Team amex all day here too. However with that 5/24 relaxed, gimme dem points. I was approved two weeks ago at 6/24, had to call reconsideration but I got it.

I love the Old Milwaukee Light and pork rinds dig at Southwest, lol. I’ve never actually enjoyed flying Southwest even though I’ve flown with them because at times they’ve offered the best deal. I really don’t like their cattle call boarding process, lack of assigned seats and lack of basic amenities, at least as of the last time that I flew with them, which was at least four years ago.

In this points n miles game, it’s all about options. The CSP is a keeper for me mainly for the transfer partner ability. You may not be a Hyatt or SW fan, but they’re still options that can get the job done. Hyatt is weird sometimes when it doesn’t allow you to redeem points on random weekends, which is one reason why Hilton will be in my strategy soon. Good content man. I am tempted by the sign up bonus, and curious to go for it since I'm at 6/24. But this card is just so unimpressive for me. I don't see myself earning points with this card because I can beat all the categories with other cards except streaming services. And I wouldn't transfer to Hyatt because I work part time for a hotel chain.

I got mine right before Covid, used my 100k bonus at Cosmo in Vegas when they were giving suites away for $150.00 a night on a weekend…. man those were the days.
After the first year I just couldn't find a way to make their lack of point categories work for me, it was very restrictive so I downgraded to a Freedom unlimited. If they removed the online qualifier for groceries this card would be a beast.

I will be 3/24 this month. Still gardening. I currently can’t meet that minimum spend for that CSP right now. I think I am going to hold off until Q4 for the holidays. I am sure that 80k and over will be available. October is my birthday 🥳 going to reward myself with CSP. Got to be strategic & smart and look at your current circumstances

I'm planning on applying for the CSP in the next couple weeks. I'm going to do the in branch application though.
For one, the extra 10k UR points would be nice. Also, I'm hoping to open the card without increasing my overall available credit. My preference is just to transfer available credit from two other chase cards that have credit limits that are much higher than needed. I'm hoping they can accommodate me.

Ask for a “Diet Coke with ice and a lime packet”

I have decent credit, I’m over 5/24, received a pre approval for the chase slate, I applied & got approved, I only applied to establish a relationship with chase, the card has no benefits but 0% APR, I have no plans to travel this year so I’m after cash back cards

I am currently at 8/24. Recently applied and got denied - called the reconsideration line and was advised to re-apply within 30 days. I am not thinking if i shoukd or wait until July 2024 until i fall below the 5/24 rule.

I have the CSP just as a way to transfer the points I get from the Flex, business cash and the unlimited. I rarely use it otherwise. I’m on year 3, will be available for another bonus next year. I can’t wait . Glad you’re giving chase a fair shot, I love Amex too 😎

My CSR annual fee is coming up in June 1st, do u think they will let me waive the annual fee or get a retention offer? I've been having it since 2017 and $550 is just too much nowadays. If not then can I downgrade to the Old regular Freedom card. I already have both freedom unlimited and freedom flex
