Thank you for making this video. You did talk about what is acceptable and what is not when visiting any auspicious place or a memorial. I remember visiting Istanbul and its beautiful mosques. We booked a tour so got to meet people from many different countries. We were given the same instructions and only one Ukrainian guy decided it would be great to break some rules and later on have a racist conversation with the rest of us at breakfast especially my mom and I. We chose to ignore the guy because clearly he was suffering from severe identity issues that he felt the need to behave entitled and also the put others down in order to feel good somehow. That man wasn't raised right unfortunately. There was this other American group who weren't this extreme but was the loudest and did not listen to the female tour guide at all. They kept talking over her. Clearly none of these people ever learned to follow instructions in a group setting. That is more telling of where you're from and that's not necessarily a good representation of your country. Please stop behaving like an a** when you visit other people's countries that you chose to pay for of your own volition!! I mean how stupid is that?? Just atay home!

Why did the Germans exterminate so many people? What went through their minds? A lot of Poles lost their lives in these German camps. The Germans built several such camps. Shouldn't Germany pay compensation for everything it destroyed during the war? Because if the Germans established camps and attacked other countries, they should pay compensation.

I agree that it was orobably the most genious and despicable thing ever done to people but the getmans paid the price with their cities bombed to smitherines the nazis executed at nuremburg and the constant oayment of reparations to israel. Please the germans of today were not even birn. Please forgive them and allow grrmany to rise out this stain on her past.going iver this condtantely will not vring the victims back nor undo the suffering they had to go thru. Please the german nation already paid the price for this

I agree that "selfies" are a definite NO --however , taking pictures of it while there is NOT a bad thing. When I was there 30 yrs ago-I I took many pictures there and have shared them with my Jewish family - all of my children since then. It caused them to want go there themselves to experience it first hand and study about their history. My visit was on a snowy winters day and was one of the best things I have ever done in my life.

Weird question but has it ever been reported or confirmed to possibly be haunted.

I definitely believe it has to be from the screams of all the innocent people killed here?

I believe if something truly horrible happened in certain places it creates invisible negative energy from the souls and emotions of the innocent people who died there.

I don't recommend ghosthunting in there though or Der Riese complex.

People must respect the dead and educate people about the nazi evil that happened here

I think that although people sympathize with the victims in the photos, they might subconsciously see them differently from people who have NOT been shaved and starved. It might be useful to animate, colorize, and add normal hair to some of the photos…So others could understand these were people just like you and me.

I can’t believe people would act like that.
I went to the children’s part of the Holocaust museum in Washington DC, and only the children’s part, and I was crying by the end. I just cried for the Holocaust victims, all the unspeakable horrors they went through. I couldn’t imagine treating it like a tourist attraction.

(my mom who has studied the horrors in depth of concentration camps went with me on that trip to DC and refused to go anywhere else in the museum because she knew about the horrors she didn’t need to see it in a museum)

Jesus Christ said they don't know what they are doing. And the same characteristic of those people had visiting (the onlookers) is the same that the Nazi murderers (the perpetrators). Either you have empathy for others (Jesus said love) or you dont. Most don't. Would you cry out for righteousness during Jesus crucifixion? Would you cry out for righteousness during a visitation to Auchvitz?

I was at Auschwitz winter of 1992. I also am Jewish. I had arrived there from CT, USA- to adopt a baby in Warsaw. The day I was at this Museum-there were no tourists except for a few nuns - dressed in their formal habits. I took a lot of pictures--they were not smiling pictures-but rather for my synogouge in the USA. I also saw the Priest's shrine -the one who offered his life for another. It was a haunting experience that changed me forever--in a GOOD spiritual way.

I took my teenaged grandsons to Auschwitz three weeks ago. It was a sobering event for us. I have studied the Holocaust for many years. My grandsons have studied for a year. It was treated with respect. I noticed a few things on our trip to Auschwitz- 1) There are many houses along the way from Krakow- many built clearly before 1940. People lived in those houses. They had to have known what was going on. 2). There are predominant trees and grassy areas but no birds, no squirrels, no wildlife anywhere.3)The Commandant's (Rudolf Hoess) home was located in Auschwitz- the family had to have known as well. This was a life-changing experience.

I couldn't agree more. It's like the German people taking pictures to put in their scrapbooks while Jews were being shot in the head and tortured. If you don't have any respect for that, it's a double atrocity and you should not be allowed in.

Agree 100%. I was there with a tour group and one of the members kept asking to anyone within listening distance “why do you think they shot them in the legs?” Repeatedly. This is a very private moment, where little eye contact is made as visitors are processing everything they’re seeing. It was a very tone deaf moment.

"For Furher!"

I heard all that before, this is what they say when they force you to fight something that isn't worth dying for
