Which iPad to Buy in 2024 - Don’t Choose WRONG!

Ipad 10 is 550 euro here. A mini 6 619 euro.

Usa always so much cheaper its ridiculous.

I still use my 2020pro daily. It will take a bit to move me off my wallet to buy in 2024.

Can someone name me 3 real uses cases for ipad? As far as i understand, its an expensive toy for young kids.

Also the problem with iPads is the software is too limited. If I could for example plug my Switch in to an iPad Pro and use that iPad Pro screen as a monitor, that would be amazing. But iPad's are never amazing. They are super basic and limited. Just buy the cheapest one.

I wont be having much cash as im gonna buy a used car this year, so Ill stick with my 2018 ipad pro 11 inch till the M4 comes out (by that time ipados 19 might come out and it might be the last update for the 2018 ipad pro)

Id still get an iPad 9th Gen in 2024. Mainly because the size is great, it has a home button for easier touch ID, and a HEADPHONE JACK! Also, the smart keyboard still feels great on this thing.

iPad 9 is so cheap and serves me totally fine as a reader / second computer screen / web browsing device.

Inherited a 12.9" M2 iPad Pro after my aunt passed away. TBH, I wouldn't buy it if I had to use my money. This device is too expensive and overkill as just a web browsing device, while too limited / restricted for work. Only purpose of this iPad I can think of for me is to use it as a drawing tablet.

You forgot to talk about the colors. iPad 10 was my only choice because I wanted to match my iPhone 11 yellow.

just wait for the new ipads, no one of this actual ipads are a good buy. but i think probably the best options will be ipad air with M2 or the new ipad mini. (ipad 11 probably will come with A15 and 4gb of ram, I really think will be a trash, if it comes with A16 and 128gb in base model it could be good)

Even i got ipad pro m2 but still using alot my ipad9 cause of audio jack…easy paired with my headset collection…😅 not denied wireless enviroment but when it turned daily practicality i hate everything need to charging…

Avoid the iPad 10, it’s reflective as hell and I took it back for that reason. Watching on the plane was annoying unless all the lights were out!!

How many ppl use an iPad for media consumption like YT, Netflix?? To me, A14 or A15 etc or pencil or not.. or front camera.. dun matter.. i just want something to watch videos on.

I plan on keeping my M2 iPad Pro 12.9in for a few more years but I am interested in purchasing an iPad Mini once Apple releases it. The current iPad mini was great but the screen, battery life and 60hz kinda sucked that it made me return it after a week of using it. Hopefully they upgrade all those categories 😭🙌🏽

I moved from the iPad 9th gen to the iPad 10th gen and I feel that the screen, speakers and tech in the 10th gen is absolutely worth the upgrade.

Best ipad is ipad pro m1 and the chip is more powerful than an iPad can handle

I have an iPad Pro 3rd Gen so want to upgrade this iteration as I do a lot of artwork at present and want the unit to last. I'm not looking forward to the price hike but it will last me years.

My iPad mini 6 is my favorite iPad I've ever owned because of its size and light weight. My only gripe is the absolutely atrocious refresh rate on the display that feels slower than 60hz often. If they fix that, it's perfect.

Happy with my iPad Mini and my iPad Air...but if they upgrade the mini I'm likely to go for it and pass my old one down to my husband.

M1 Pro is all you need

Synthetic benchmarks mean nothing in the real world. Until you place your processor under heavy load. I was wanting to look into this because I want a tablet which will let me run Photoshop, lightroom and video editing tools perhaps without the hassle of a laptop

My man concern is only having 8gb.

I changed from a 2018 11” iPad Pro to a Mini 6 last year and I absolutely do not regret it. Battery and screen refresh aside, it does what I need to as a light user, but some nice to haves would definitely be a ProMotion display and better battery for the Mini 7 if it comes out this year,

If it does with my wish list features, I’ll definitely jump on it

I bought my wife an Ipad mini 6 one year ago and as Ipad Pro user I was not able to not see the skew display scrolling issue when using it in portrait mode...but for people who don't see it it is a great device. In my case we sold it in the end.

I am still rocking the iPad Pro 9.7inch but now it does not get iPad OS17. So an upgrade is due. I must say this is one of the best pieces of electronics I have owned. Today it still runs fantastic. I will turn it into a hub for photos and monitoring the cameras. I only hope the new iPads are just as good. Definitely got more than my money’s worth out of it.

I bought an iPad Air 5 (with M1) in November 2022 and I’ve been quite pleased with it. I figured this iPad should well enough for me for the next 4-5 years given my previous iPad Pro 10.5 served me well for 5 years before I wanted a change. I sold the 10.5 Pro which still had 85% battery life to help pay for my Air 5.

But the prospect of a larger iPad Sir with M2 is something I could be tempted to seriously consider. We’ll see.

I recently bought iPad 9 gen and found it unusable as a hand held device. The only use case for most iPads is stationary on a table or as some specific device for drawing. So my conclusion and disappointment is that iPads fail as sofa/chair consuption devices. Too clumsy, heavy and uncomfortable for that use case. The only exception is iPad Mini which is too expensive and less refined ( jelly effect and too tiring on eyes while scrolling) - it desperately needs Pro Motion. It is evident from reviews that iPads are mostly bought for kids. Cases for iPads are mostly designed for kids. 10 years ago the concept of iPad made sense but nowadays I would rather use my smartphone on sofa/chair/ in a kitchen as a consumption device.
