If you have been arrested for a DUI anywhere in California and you gave a blood or breath sample over the legal limit, there's a good chance you received a citation that you violated two sections of the California Vehicle Code.

The main difference between these two is that CVC 23152 (a) focuses on the impaired driving of the arrested driver while CVC 23152 (b) focuses on one thing only, whether at the time of driving, the driver was above or below 0.08% BAC.
