DJI AIR 2S Cinematic Review by Filmmakers | The Drone Beast

i have a 6yo brother and he can actually fly my drone under instruction but i don't trust him to launch my air 2 s but when its in the sky he is all set

The wave of the future in drone photography will be modularity…heavy duty flight shell with changeable cameras,motors and sensors….useful to professional’s in photography,military and emergency services but not a bunch of gimmicky toy’s ….

For years I flew the Phantom 4 and was so pleased with it. The videos were sharp and clear. But now that I'm using the Air 2s the biggest thing I miss seeing in my videos are trees. With the Phantom 4 you could see trees, and the ground was covered with grass. With the Air 2s you see big green cotton balls on sticks and the ground is covered with blurry green felt. There is no detail in the videos. They look like they were shot with a potato cam in 480p. I miss the sharpness. When I shoot a video I want to see the detail. I don't want to see a video that looks like it was made with water color or crayons. What's the point in having an expensive camera if it just shoots mud? Every DJI drone I have used since the 4 has had this issue. The 4 Pro was crap, I sold it. The Mini was crap. I often wanted to smash it it had so many issues. Everyone says this is a "feature" and call it "cinematic". If I'm paying to see a movie in a cinema I don't want to see fuzzy blurry video. I want crystal sharp high definition. But none of the DJI drones can deliver this. So disappointing. The "answer" everyone gives is, run the video through post production software and sharpen it. Right. All that does is exagerate the flicker from the compression. Now instead of noticing the blurry video you see the entire screen flicker every second. You don't even see the video anymore. Is there a filter that has a magnifying glass to actually FOCUS the image? That would be great. If someone would sell a filter that could correct the blurry lens system DJI uses I would buy that in a second.

When did you sell out to light hearted positive reviews. This drone is awesome for a new pilot yes but the ONLY downside is the gimbal cover and color science? What about variable aperture, the only feature that matters in this entire video you don’t like to talk about.... I guess people like cushy positive reviews and you like making money.

Great upgrade dji, but shame the battery life has declined from 34 to 29 mins from air2? But still part me still wants to wait for the mavic3

DJI needs to STOP using False advertising ..FACT: the drone does NOT have a 1 inch sensor ..it has a (1 inch "type") ..there is a HUGE difference. ....in the World of cameras ALL manufacturers use the (1 inch "type") label to cover their ass legally . ..It's an old label system from back in the 50ies. ..but a "true measure" 1 inch sensor is about 3X larger area than a (1 inch "type") ..its like if the grocery store sold you a package of 3 apples but it has only 1 apple inside ..it's a word play SCAM ..DJI should stop cheating thier customers and label it correctly as (1 inch "type")

Omg this drone finally is the first one that gets me again with image quality and drone size. I think it's finally worth upgrading from a Mavic Air 1. I wasn't that impressed with the image quality of the Air 2. But the one of the 2s is so clear, and not oversharpened! The older drones always tend to be grainy in shadows and oversharpened, which I didn't like as a filmmaker. Nice colour grading too, it was looking beautiful!

Nice video but no goggle support? I will not be buying another one without goggle support.
