Hey, according the naming up to now, the next desktop CPU is likely to be named 11000. 10000 cold be - like 8000 now - the version for laptops and SFF.

Isn't Zen6 going to be the Ryzen 11k-series if current naming scheme is to continue? Zen1 is 1000, Zen4 is 7000, Zen5 is 9000 etc...(?)

Regarding UE5 games crashing I was having this issue with an AMD CPU and it went away by disabling fTPM.
UE5 in general seems to be constantly looking for an excuse to crash and any little instability on your system will cause trouble.

Hardware manufacturers should start thinking, some energy companies charge well for devices that consume a lot of energy, such as PCs with power supplys above 700W

It's not a new issue with intel i9. 10850k @ 5.2ghz 6 core / 5ghz all core sp53 here - feeding the chip itself more voltage improved stability alot more than feeding the cores more voltage which just increased the instability during load changes

Really the already known good solution to the 12HVPR H+ and H++ connection is to have 2 and have the VRM do load balancing between them so not to pull to much power from 1 or the other. Yes 1300 Watts should never be drawn but you already have cards with 4 8-pin connects that only drew around maybe 300 Watts.
Yes it is an extra cost but a cost that will stop the cases of melting connectors using a method already known to be good. Also when you are approaching how much water heaters take in a power connector i am thinking it should have the same protections too. For example an external to the device circuit breaker that just cuts power if to much or to little amps is drawn to it but sits on the cable or another part to the device so another extra cost for safety.

I am going to sound like a fanboy but I used to always use Intel and Nvidia way way back in the day.. And never really cared for using Nvidia GPU's.. They didn't have to do this with the power cables, it was an Apple type of move.. They should have stayed with the 8 pin's.. Oh and I see they finally fixed their software control panel and brought it's look into the 21st century.. LOL. Now look you could give me a 4090 or a 4080 and I would use it but I would never give them that kind of money out of my pocket..
And I believe unreal engines statement about the Intel chips.. They wouldn't pull the tiger by the tail if it wasn't happening..

So this is a case of Factory Overclocking Stability, when you overclock too hard this happens; so looks like ShIntel didn't do they OCing properly, so dumb, all they had to do is Clock them a little less and they wouldd had a winner; well, 1 more reasong to choose AMD; thanks ShIntel, ha!

Thats funny Epic because my 3600X crashes on every Unreal Engine game I play consistently. Just got back from a cruise and guess what updated drivers and played for 2 hours and now it just keeps crashing all over again. Sucks I hope they get the driver issue fixed.

You think there will be a community to de-solder the old connector and solder in the new one and modify the bios to make them work with it. A whole community or service dedicated to fix Nvidia's blunder.

I have my AM5 motherboard but I am waiting for Ryzen 9000. As a long time AMD fan I have to say that they keep screwing up on "Big Leap" promises missing the mark almost every time I think. I waited so long for the 7600 xt to come out and rush to get it that it turned around and really left me in an un awe moment. The 7k & 8K Ryzen Cpu do not impress me the core count is crap when you look at Intel as its obvious comparison, so Im left waiting to build an AM5 platform that I really dont even want that much now. My AM4 is just fine still with an 3800X with 8 cores in fact I almost got the 5700X3D over investing in the motherboard and GPU.

The issue with that connector is the size of the pins itself, its just too small to support the current that is being passed through it... Get those pins back to the size of the original 8 pin and see the issue disappear altogether.

why do you think that amd made a bad move here? they can't regulate what happens after the products are sold, they can't put fines on third party resellers, they are out of amd's control, but direct resellers can be fined. it's literally their only option.

Really glad you brought the Intel issue with Unreal Engine games!

Anyone else have been experiencing ANY issues on an INTEL CPU based system lately?

I've been having LOTS of issues on my i9 14900K in ALL UNREAL ENGINE games. There's so little talk about it online and I am surprised there's barely any mention anywhere, especially in the tech tuber place, you seem the only one talking about it! What's frustrating is even with all the possible fixes, it doesn't stay stable. Changing BIOS version, disabling XMP and even reducing the Performance Core Ratio to X53, Unreal Engine based games still crash time to time. I changed to the exact CPU and started a RMA process with Intel. Thankfully they will refund me the amount but the issue still persist. An article I read says it affects mostly the 13700K, 13900K, 14700K and 14900K.
EPIC GAMES says it's on Intel's side to correct this and I tested my secondary PC that has the 7800X3D CPU and all's good there.

WTH is going on? This should be a major concern since the majority of games are developed on Unreal Engine!

Anyone else having this? I mean... one shouldn't have to do all this JUST to run a game without ANY overclock!

AMD trying to stop price reductions shows why we desperately need Intel to continue the competition. We know nVidia thinks they control prices, so when AMD joins that fray we definitely need more competitors.

I have been having crashing issues with the 13900ks with UE games. Underclocking my CPU so it never exceeds 6ghz has seemed to of fixed the issue, the 14th gen being a rehash would make me believe that it would only be worse considering that more CPU's will now be exceeding 6ghz

Long story short if you are having these issues just underclock for the moment until theses issues are fixed
