What is missing for me is the focus on what exactly the new/dark moon is. Notice that the sun's reflection is completely gone. Physically speaking, it's missing the Sun's energy... God's energy. No reflection. Ponder that.
What I have read is that the exact NM is the worst time to "seed" intentions. You are supposed to wait around 48 hours after and avoid VOC timings. Please look into that before you accidentally waste your "seeds"... just sayin. I don't normally criticize but this is a "grave" missed important item.

My grandmother used to tell me if you have any emotional things worrying you, do a 'chandra ponkala' on full moon. If in horoscope if moon dasa is going on that is also an advised period you have to do this. So basically what 'chandra ponkala' is you have to sit outside in moonlight and make a rice puddong using rice and white sugar wearing white clothes. In that way you please moon and get the blessings and consume the pudding by you and your family members for better health. Moon bless you with beauty and peace of mind.
