M4A1 Block I [America's Main Rifle] to 500yds: Practical Accuracy (M4 + ACOG)

I love that platform when I joined the military we had the M16 A1, we still had 45 ACP and the original M60 machine guns and jeeps. I know the AR platform has come a long way but I see people with so much shit on the rifle it just turns me off try going to battle with all of that bullshit on your rifle you'll never make it or a 12 Mile Road March there is no way we could have that much shit on our weapons.

The AR platform easily can use a 6X optic, but is best at 4X 30mm tube, as 2.5X really gives little magnification that seems real (thus 3X is appreciable, but doesn't give the long range perception very well). The point of not going to 6X is field of view...and the accuracy also doesn't warrant it (hand held). The adoption of this 'NEW' round and M5 is a total boon-dongle that is really part of the Democrat gun control.

It just seems convenient that the 14.5 A2 FSB just so happens to fit a standard bayonet, Ive got a sneaking suspicion that the entire point was to match the exact same dwell time and still retain the ability to mount a bayonet.

I remember getting a brand new M4 back around late 97/98. Being in the 10th Mtn we were one of the last infantry divisions to get one. We thought we were high speed at the time lol. If I remember correctly the handle was detachable but still had the regular handguards like a M16. Good video guys.

Why use 55gr when the Military uses 62gr, plus those ACOGs BDCs are calibrated for 62gr?

The M4 was to the M16 in the same manner how the M1 Carbine was to the M1 Garand. Both weapons were issued to rear echelon troops and were not meant to see combat. Yet both weapons found themselves on the front lines and had been viewed very favorably compared to the main service rifle.

Try that with hornady 68 grain out of that rifile! Watch how much your accuracy increases. You will see two different rifles in terms of performance!

I still think, if you were revisiting to get it right, why did you use M193, M855 is easily available.... also assuming it was, but you didn't specify if the barrel was an m4A1 hvy profile.

Block 1 is the sexy followed by M16A4 and Block 2. Then Mk18 and Mk12 sexy sexy rifles ever. GWOT era is the best looking guns in my opinion.

Say USMC qual isn't stressful enough? I'd agree. We don't get outta breath before shooting. Say we didn't use any unconventional firing positions (we should've fired off barricades, etc.), agreed!! Hell, we never spent a SECOND talking about FRATRICIDE when I was a recruit.

'Soldiers' could shoot just as well as Marines. We aren't "innately superior" marksman.
But to claim our results aren't superior..? With standards of "only MISSING the entire target a few times" is pretty good..??? Is just utterly irreconcilable with the facts.

Meanwhile CH militia: go shoot once a year at 300m with irons, 20 rounds in the mag that all count (you can buy practice rounds, tho)

The M4 is such an amazing rifle. I had no complaints about mine on all my deployments. A lighter trigger was about the only improvement that could made. The 3 round burst was pointless.

I don't think the day of the bull pup is over.
I think is it hasn't quite gotten here yet.
In listening to you talk about clearance in and out of vehicle ect. A long barreled bull pup HB. would let you have the best of both worlds. The problem with Bull pup's today is that their all barrel lite and difficult to shoot accurately, especially in off hand.
A long barreled Bull pup would balance better, shoot more accurately, and make a better club when out of ammo.

I shoot my 20" "pencil profile" brl AR Match rifle with Normal 77gr Boat Tail 5.56 ammo in Sniper Match competition to 1 KLICK all day long with 3 in - 5 shoot groups (6-24x by 50 vortex scope).
