I love my daughter so much. I’m in so much sorrow at this time in my life due to her father, my partner of 12 yrs who betrayed me, having an affair of 4 years with my best friend, she was the one I confided in and helped support me through my pregnancy even helped with my baby shower and brought me things from home while I was giving birth to my beautiful baby. I knew deep down that something was happening between them and every time I asked they would deny it and he would scream at me that I was jealous and insecure. The double betrayal has me in the deepest depression of my life, the loss of my family and home that I designed and we had built from the ground up. I left before the truth was revealed, I left out of respect for myself and in need of support from people who love me “my parents”. I left everything behind because of the daily conflict and the verbal abuse. The truth was revealed after two years when she was tired of being “a secret” “his secret”. In those two years he was trying to win me back and even finally asking to marry me, but I didn’t trust it at all. And my intuition was spot on he was two timing both of us. And I needed closure so I reached out to her and she tried to lie and protect him about the timing of the affair. But once I exchanged screen shots of him asking to marry me and wanting me back she couldn’t handle that and couldn’t believe he was lying to her 😂 cuz she was “so close to him” !! I’ve been in therapy for a year and I just can’t seem to love myself. The self hatred is ruining everything and I feel so exhausted everyday. I don’t trust anyone or even myself. Everyday he texts me that I’m setting our daughter up for failure. I mask everyday to protect my daughter from the troubled mind that I have. I provide a safe conflict free home , I provide food and love, I have a reliable car , I have her in karate, I get her to school on time with a packed lunch, i make sure all her clothes are clean and that she’s bathed , her teeth are brushed and flossed and she makes it to all her dental and doctors appointments, i read to her every night. He judges me everyday and he lives 500 miles away , only sees her every couple of months. I’m so tired of this grief and guilt.
