Alot of Parsis, whose name means “Persians,” are descended from Persian Zoroastrians who emigrated to India to avoid religious persecution by Muslims....
Parsi community today is flourishing in India.... they are now the backbone of Indian big businesses!! highly creative and excellent businessmen!
Persia and Persian are names that other countries used to refer to Iran. Iranian called themselves “Iranians” for hundreds of years. Iranians are diverse groups of people with different ethnicity and languages but shared culture and history.
ОтветитьSome amazing places around those parts.
ОтветитьI've always wanted to learn more about Iran and Persia. I've always loved persian art it's just the most beautiful art
ОтветитьWestern bias. The journalist says she was "granted access" so that we're supposed to think it's forbidden and shrewed in secrecy and buy an overpriced documentary subscription. Also Iran and Persia are the same, just the historical names. I've visited Iran two times, Isfahan, Teheran and Persepolis were stunning. Great train connection, friendy and proud people, remember sunblock & avoid travelling in the summer because the temperatures can reach upto 50 c. Enjoy!
Ответитьزنده باد تاجيكستان 💚🤍🖤
ОтветитьIMPORTANT
It is critically important for this FACT to be promoted and understood well:
Persia is not all of Iran and not all of Iran is Persia.
Not every Iranian is Persian. There are Iranians that are Baluchi, Arab, Turkmen, Lor, Gilak, Armenian, Kurdish, Turkish, etc. Iran is a mosaic of many different subcultures and ethnicities. The Persians happen to be the largest and, as a result of historical events, their language became the national language of Iran. If any Iranian tells you he or she is Persian, take that with a grain of salt. Iranians are often mixes of different subcultures and ethnicities. There are people who are Persian-Turkish. There are people who are Kurdish-Lor. There are people who are Gilaki-Arab. Anything is possible. It's all about the law of communicating vessels (the subcultures and ethnicities being those vessels).
Usually if a person says they're Persian, they are merely and solely referring to their culture/language not their nationality. The nationality is Iranian. A truly Persian person is not that easy to find.
So, if someone tells you they are Persian, very confidently and swiftly tell them, "No, you are Iranian." For a true and loyal Iranian, being Iranian is more important than being whatever subculture/ethnicity he or she is. Nationality is more important than subculture and ethnicity.
I'm from Iran 🇮🇷
ОтветитьIran and Persia are the same thing.
Persia was a Greek name. Iran was the internal name used throughout the country's history.
