SYNCHOPATION WAS NOT FIRST Invented by AFRICAN.. IT has been an important element of European musical composition since at least the Middle Ages. Many Italian and French compositions of the music of the 14th-century Trecento use syncopation, as in of the following madrigal by Giovanni da Firenze. . Beethoven Bach Handle used it too
ОтветитьWhy is foreign people always calling us African Americans 😂whyyy why are yall worried bout us and then yall learning the wrong information about our history but we never speak on yalls cuz we don’t care . But yall steady call us slavers 😂 it mean employment how u think we built America.
ОтветитьJazz blues are music of slaves
ОтветитьGreat job. And, it is very US-based. You left out the the huge world of Latin music, which also has its roots in slavery and developed into multiple traditions in multiple countries (e.g. Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil... everywhere), parallel to what happened in the US.
The great thing is, music belongs to everybody, it springs from our human heart and creativity and bodies.
Austin you sound bored and uninterested while narrating. At least sound interested in the topic. The subject matter deals with the most horrific atrocity that ever occurred in human history. You could at least show respect by not sounding bored.
ОтветитьThe cry of pain of the African people in America was transformed into one of the most beautiful songs in the world.
Ответить💯♾️🖖🏾💫
ОтветитьU re reading like a zombie.
ОтветитьDamn this guy just skipped of the real father of Jazz, Buddy Bolden.
ОтветитьIt wasn’t just the Irish or British doing Black face, it was jewish people doing it to.
ОтветитьNo africa world is pathetic place to be
ОтветитьTo the video maker. Not all the black slaves where african. The natives where in fact black. Especially in the south. The explorers all describe the natives as negro in phenotype. As copertone and dark skinned in there descriptions. Look at the census records and writings of the early American slave era . And the families where blacks Indians in the reports and writings. Most of the American slaves where the black indigenous population misrepresented as African American today. African American is white racism to hide the true origin of black people. Racism and the effects have hidden and distorted the black indigenous americans with rhe African-slaves . In fact most of modern day family history goes back to indigenous black past. Its all written in historical records who black indigenous people are in north America. Many tribes where black and ethier caught up in slavery or they owned there own kinfolk to keep them out of white hands. Most mason dixion tribes got removed out of their homelands and lied about due to white expansion into traditional lands
ОтветитьAnd yes absolutely the fact that they were enslaved made it that much stronger but from the beginning, from what I've gathered and research, that's how they reach God and HOW ALL OF US IN THE WORLD SHOULD that's just my opinion at least
ОтветитьBy the way when I say those are the same people I'm not talking about color I'm talking about from the spirit and that's what it should be about and that's what Elvis learn from them and several others but from the research and the mean things I've seen they really knew how to access that spirit and let it take over you and we all need to be doing that together. It's not about your color in that situation it's about if you can feel the spirit or God flowing through so much that your body just shakes and you just let go and just let it take you
ОтветитьDo any of you get alot of thus come from there very very spiritual "voodoo" culture in my eyes it's not caring what the next person thinks. It's the whole group getting together with song and rhythm and just let it pull from you core and soul. I don't call that call voodoo atleast the voodoo mainstream society and I honestly don't know the whole story behind you do but what I can see is that is a group of the same people getting together and just singing their heart out not caring who's looking like At me or who is watching or I care who's listening all that matters with all the devotion in the world that you wanna sing you wanna scream, cry, or be pissed at the world, all of you are together to do it and then you feel that soul soar! If I'm wong plz tell me if that isn't the basics of "voodoo" that I absolutely love
ОтветитьThe foundation of America, this is TRUE Americana!!!!
Ответитьtop...
ОтветитьGreat film
Ответитьtoo bad there's very little "music" in this music documentary..the story needs to be told but the music is really at the heart of it all.
ОтветитьThat's answers my question why African American are the best in musicality
Ответить"Monophobic"
ОтветитьIt's always gotta be a white boy Trina school us on OUR shit. Just stfu and play da music white boy
ОтветитьProve it wrong jealous little boy @westnile21
ОтветитьThe blues was also influenced by English and Scottish folk music
ОтветитьGets somebody else to do that voice over cause..
ОтветитьIn my theory blues is coming from a mix of Native American music, Afro American music and European music. And Native American music could be an influence of blues. I hear sometimes pentatonic notes, I hear sometimes notes that are new to the key, I hear repetition, I hear short phrases, I hear singing and mourning and I hear a moving drumbeat. An influence could come from Native American music. A music culture that is alive in America.
ОтветитьGreat resource and detailed. Sharing with others.
ОтветитьGreat work!!!
ОтветитьHelp, How do I find the song in the first entry
ОтветитьWhat’s the jazz songs name that starts @ 0.28
ОтветитьThanks bro
ОтветитьFrom Spirituals to Jazz and the Blues? Well yeah. Adding to the list are music forms:
Ragtime, Country, Gospel, Rock n Roll, R&B, Funk, Doo-Wop, Disco Punk Rock, House and of course--Rap and Hip-Hop.
Also, Latin music forms:
Samba, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Timba, Rumba, Mambo, Cumbia, Champeta, Soukous Sebene, Cha Cha Cha, Tango, Pachanga, Son, Tropicalia Carioca, Zouk etc.--all enjoy undeniable African roots and undisputed African influence.
There is no American culture and music without Black people.
ОтветитьSlavery is not ended black people still killed till day by the white supremacist security service both side in Atlantic
ОтветитьIt's pronounced "minstrel-ry" . There's an 'r' in the word.
ОтветитьXXXX Styles of music , dance, design, art , church , and strenght !!!!!! 😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ответитьcan I get sources? writing a paper
ОтветитьThis sort of history is so crucial to the American story. It blows my mind that it has never had a longer Ken Burns style documentary around it.
ОтветитьI have a question, why's that EEUU was the only place where the slaves develop such a sublime choruses .. here in Brazil or in the Caribbean, the main thing is percussion , but not so many voices
ОтветитьGreat summary, but what a boring monotone voice. It really shows how thats a school project and they hate doing it. Woud be great for people having problems falling asleep or for sermons.
ОтветитьBlack 🇺🇸! 🌹
ОтветитьWhat happened? Now we have rap music making our people look bad. 😂
ОтветитьDid I see Buddy Bolden's picture in there? Twice? A shame (if it was) that he wasn't featured a bit.
ОтветитьDidnt even touch on music…drifted completely away with racism…blah blah blah…thumbs down…
ОтветитьAll talk
