This is nonsense! At the end of the day the writer didn’t believe in the potential of his own work so his original script was lazy at best, when he realized that the fans loved his work he is now running frantic and trying to appease fans by ripping up and rewriting. I’ll go as far as to say head captain Yamamoto could easily be a part of zero devision based on his fight against the Quincy king because when he finally had a chance to fight the real one he used up a major part of his power already. And to add to make the most powerful being of the beach universe so helpless is also a very underwhelming part of the entire anime as well. The writer could’ve rivalled one piece if he used his imagination better from the beginning.

I like that Squad Zero actually gets to fight back in the anime versus how they sucked in the manga, but I can’t get excited, because I know nothing they do will matter overall.
None of the Sternritter are in any danger because it would totally undermine the overall story.

This does have an unintended consequence though.
The Schutzstaffel feel much weaker and don't really feel like all that much of a threat atm. Having the Schutzstaffel body the Zero Division at least made them seem powerful.

the only way this is actually fixed is if the bankai actually killed all the ritters including ishida and if Yhwach is the one to finish Senjumaru. if somehow ishida escapes due to BS plotarmor and kills her i daresay that this is possibly worst than what happened in the manga. Ishida needs to stay dead for this to be actually fixed.

My headcannon is that Rukia said that only the royal task force can destroy menos because they were considered rare enough to not really teach much about them, besides the fact that they exist. Senjumaru’s bankai is a good way to explain why the soul reapers beat the elite qunicies, as every method used was a hard counter. I think she altered the fates of the qunicies to come into contact with their hard counters

As far as the "weakness" of the Zero-Division in the manga goes, I was under the impression that the Kubo was told by the manga publishers to "wrap it up," and so didn't have the opportunity to display the Zero-Division's true power the way he would have liked, which IS being done in the anime.

This got me curious about the actual power level of Kirio Hikifune. She was under Yamamoto when she was still the Division 12 captain. Does it mean from her tenure as captain she was much more poweful than Yamamoto or there is a significant power boost provided to whoever gets promoted to Royal Guard?

omg guys! kubo(the author) said that quincy are smart and they always have a strategy. it was wayyy back before the anime started.

so the zero-division took a note from kenpachi? sealing thier power to enjoy the life?😄 also, i think these weren't changes in the anime with the zero division power kubo just couldn't add it in the manga in time. in fact Kubo had foreshadowed the power of the zero division in the arrancar arc... aizen knew of the power of the zero-division since he modeled the espada powers similarly ..uliqiorra said that the four highest ranking espada if unleash their true power inside las noches (the fake world) would had destroy it.. similarly none of the zero division members can release their true power in any one of the worlds

Hell arc would be a perfect set up for an all out tournament arc, using so many dead characters plus characters we only heard of

Senju and Ichibe are a total badasses, I'm still not so sure about the rest of them. Senju is one of my favorite characters period now. She's like a female version of Kenpachi, but with a dark, elegant, and graceful style. I especially love how she opened.

I mean, in the end even in the anime, they lost and the Gotei 13 Captains won. So they still are shown to be weaker in the end. And don't give me the "but their powers are sealed away" bullshit. It doesn't change that they lost. And to be fair, it literally never made sense for Yamamoto particularly to be weaker than the zero division since they're chosen for their contributions, not their power.

I'm pretty sure what we got in the anime is what we were supposed to get in the manga I'm glad Kubo took this opportunity to show what squad zero could really do and I don't even think they're finished yet
