Concordia, NDSU, MSUM are the 3 Universities
ОтветитьBeer & Fish company, food is little spendy but So Worth it! Dont forget to go over to Nicole's Pastry, European Pastries are Amazing.
ОтветитьI'm a Minnesotan, neighbor to Fargo, ND. Yes, Winters are brutal but so are MN winters lol your in downtown Fargo on Broadway street but their are other places to go have fun😅
ОтветитьI thought he said "Robber's Alley" and got nervous😂
ОтветитьNotice how clean Fargo is? This is also somewhat of a 'trucking' city with a lot of freight coming in and out and through.
ОтветитьNo graffiti on the walls down that alleyway ......means not any blacks to me
ОтветитьThank you for visiting my home town ❤
ОтветитьUm, winter is not 7 or 8 months 🤦♂️ it's late November to April.... anyone else wondering about fargo I've played golf December 1st and as early as March 16th fyi.
ОтветитьOK I've lived in Fargo and they absolutely have that accent. Like... Man I was floored when I heard him say they didn't. Confused.
ОтветитьThe passive aggressive and difficult to make friends is spot on. People are also close minded here since most of them have never left the "Fargo Bubble." I look forward to graduating 😊 can't wait to get out of this boring ass town.
ОтветитьThere wasn't much litter around even in the trailer parks. That was so nice to see. But those long bitterly cold winters probably help drive people to drink.
ОтветитьNice looking train
ОтветитьIn MN we have a few small drinking towns that have some farming problems.
ОтветитьWhen you first move there, you will find Fargo easy to navigate because all the Avenues are numbered from main street, North as well as South, and all the streets are numbered from the river, and most of the streets are like a grid because it's all flat, but then there have been new housing areas and such that are different than a grid layout to avoid traffic going through them. However most people likely navigate by electronic means anyway. I remember that I could hear an address and know how many blocks north from main and west of the river it was.
ОтветитьIf you move to North Dakota, at first you might feel it's strange with so few trees and change in terrain. It's basically flat as flat can be in the Red River valley and it's open farmland. Then, if you move to a city that has hills and trees, you might feel closed in and claustrophobic, because you can't see for miles.
ОтветитьYou have to be young and have a job to keep moving and drink a lot of alcohol or you will freeze in your tracks! Fact!
ОтветитьFargo is very neat and clean and beautiful place. Fargo is good and Wells Fargo the best. 😍😍😀😀Thanks
ОтветитьVery interesting. Never wanted to visit to those northern Midwestern states, partly because I don't like cold climates and more because little there interests me - outside the homestyle comfort foods. But I'd go there just to eat - German foods particularly, and tasting that chocolate coconut beer (if I recall correctly). Anyway, I enjoy your tours because they take me to places I know little about. Traveling broadens one's horizon tremendously, and I can do that taking your tours from my PC chair.
ОтветитьOther than the pretty trees, I wouldn't want to be in the red neighborhood at night. Fargo is about 1/25th the size of the cities with real bad areas. I think that's to be expected. Would not be surprised to find Fargo subsicizing upkeep on some of those homes.
ОтветитьDrinking and passive-aggressive go hand in hand.
ОтветитьI've been curious about Fargo for years because of airport postings for flights there. It's so heartening to see such a beautiful, well-kept city. Many thanks for the tour!
ОтветитьI agree that alot of people in Fargo seem friendly, but not in a passive agressive way. I would call them more standoff'ish.
ОтветитьI noticed downtown has what looks like trendy lofts.
ОтветитьI lived in Fargo in the 90's and attended NDSU. Fargo is ok. I jokingly call it a city for the indoorsy types.
ОтветитьI live in Boerne, TX. So many places serve pretzels loaded with butter or in this case cheese sauce. I've spent a fare amount of time in Germany and Austria. They do not load theirs up with artery cloggers.
ОтветитьFargo nothing like the movie Fargo 1996.
ОтветитьNot a bad couple of towns over all though. Have a safe trip
ОтветитьAnother great video Joe and Nic, Fargo looks pretty I wonder if the city's Norwegian and German settlers kind of give the people a friendly but cold and reserved vibe. Hope you all are doing well, I still have a lot more of your videos to watch.
ОтветитьLots of people of Scandinavian and German descent. Explains the tendency to alcohol
ОтветитьThat water looks a bit muddy
ОтветитьLow unemployment do to the fact no city or the state has no more than 1 million people. The place is deplorable.
ОтветитьIn Minnesota we call Fargo Morehead, Margots forehead. 😂
Ответитьwe had several patients that actually had accents, our clinic was in MINNEAPOLIS,MN.
ОтветитьJoe I want you to return to Jackson/Mississippi and interview people in the red zones at night. In order to top it try to buy some crack and to hire a prostitute. That would make for a video with one million views!
ОтветитьThis is so addicted. I feel so relaxed to see this videos. All the way from Sweden. 😊❤
ОтветитьMy Norwegian relatives from ND are the cleanest, most orderly people I've ever seen. You could eat off the floors in their homes without worry. Amazing. A few years ago I asked my 95 year old Norwegian grandma what her secret was-- she said she never thinks about things that stress her out or disturb her for more than a second. She passed at 98.
ОтветитьFargo is built on a lot of oil fields I think... A lot of random people live there.
ОтветитьYou're darn tootin'! I'll do a darn lot count then, if its so damn important to ya!--- WH Macy as Jerry Lundergard "Fargo"
ОтветитьThank you! I love learning about different places! Love from Buffalo, NY❤
ОтветитьA little irrelevant comment here: I'm working on a novel set in Fargo. I've never been there, nor in the US, but the final scene takes place on the bridge between Fargo and Moorhead, so the intro of this video was really dreamlike.
ОтветитьFargo is to flat. Bismarck is better.
ОтветитьWe travel somewhere every year. No matter what region of country or town we visit we always ,without fail, hear "nothing to do here", "the people aren't friendly", "people drink to much".... Spent a couple of weeks in the Fargo area a few years ago and remember the city being one of the better places we spent time. No matter where you are it IS what YOU make of it.
ОтветитьOn and off Broadway only says something about the seat capacity of the theatre rather than on which street its on, at least in NYC. You even have the description "off off Broadway" for the smallest rooms. It probably used to be the case back in the day that the largest ones were on Broadway, so with the passing of the years a Broadway theatre just changed meaning to simply being a place with lots of seats.
ОтветитьWhy not Minot!🤗
Ответить7 murders is really low, in a city of 100k or so? Damn that's depressing.
London, a shitty capital of 8-9 million has about 100 murders each year - far lower rate, and its considered a city diseased with crime...
Dont forget lots of winnipeg tourists from canada. We are 3 hour drive north. Peg city😂
ОтветитьI’ll drink to that!
ОтветитьThese are excellent videos. But please, less of the over-use of 'wow', 'awesome' and 'cool'.
ОтветитьCity with long winters usually have a lot of bars
Ответить
