December 3, 2011 - Alan Olsen and Nadine Camara discuss new technologies in Healthcare as well as the effects of the new Healthcare law with D.O. of Heartland Women's Healthcare, Scott Joyner.
Summary:
Today's technological revolution is revolutionizing many industries. What was thought impossible five years ago is now a reality. Yet with all the advances that we have been experiencing, are the costs reasonable? Where is the balance between state of the art and what wallets can really afford? Each year procedures take less time to complete and the recovery times decrease while billing exponentially increases. As a resort to this health care cost delivery crisis the federal government has adopted a universal health care system. Does this really solve the problem though? What doctor in their right mind in the past would deny a patient treatment in a critical situation just because they won't pay? The new system of health care provides everyone with health care- but is it the treatment and coverage what we think it will be? We don't understand the mess that we've gotten ourselves into.
