I will never give in and bow down. We were taught survival by what our ancestors experienced.

I am a second generation American, half white and half Puerto Rican woman. A great grandchild/ granchild of the Holocaust and the Holodomor survivors. Who watched their people die and suffered in the camps. I know how we got to this point in time- there has been a long bloody history of the powers that be stomping on the bodies of it's people. Black, brown, women, children and everyone who doesn't fit the Christo-fascist White Supremacy standard. The ground worked had been laid years ago for someone like Trump to emerge to the highest office and come to destroy us.

The powers that be have long sowed division between all of us- over race and culture- as a distraction. When the true war was always in front of our faces... the class war we have been losing together. Sinclair Lewis said that when "Fascism comes, it will come as a cross wrapped in a flag". This country long had the tendencies of a fascist regime... but now it has become one in totality.

This is not the time to let their chaotic actions scare or confuse you. They are doing all of this to make us lose focus of their nefarious plans- turning this country into a totalitarian state. Stripping the rights and resources for their own gain. To kill people, directly or indirectly. That has already been happening, is happening and will continue to happen. The worst is yet to come.

You cannot abide. You cannot cower. You cannot bow down to their will. They want that. They want you scared and subdued. We must unite and stand tall together. Dig our heels in and push back. Only when the people fight back will the fascist fall.
