I personally like German cars, my dad's first car was a Volkswagen Beetle and I like the design of the modern day Volkswagen Golf.

However, to me, the problem with German cars outside of Europe is that they are high maintenance and spare parts are expensive.

Case in point, my cousin once owned a BMW and he sold it after 8-months as he had to keep taking it to the mechanic regularly for significant repairs.

I own a 2020 Tesla Model X and a 2006 Hyundai Getz. With my Hyundai the only real issue its had is the AC Compressor which yes is a bit pricey to replace but all things considered, it's been a vey reliable car.

That said, Japanese and Korean cars would have to be the best in terms of reliability and affordability.

IC engines aren't going anywhere. They will do this rushed up unthought change to electric cars and soon realize the grid can't handle it and they aren't sustainable as they thought they are and switch back to gasoline or again allow gasoline alongside electric cars.
