Did We HATE Our Celebrity Beyond Infinite Veranda? Honest...

This is the first time I'm seeing the depth of the infinite Veranda video well done pros and cons. I don't think it would be for me because I don't like the humidity as others have reviewed. I love the idea I'm sitting on the balcony whether it's sunshine or rain I love to listen to the ocean as well. I've only had a I believe a Veranda I can't remember on Royal Caribbean which was window facing the Promenade deck but I would never do that again because of the music and noise coming from the bars on the Promenade. Love your channel very informative and I have gotten so many good tips and items to purchase and passed along to friends and family. Keep up the good work kudos! Happy cruising💃🏽🎊

I love the infinite veranda.

We have our 1st cruise coming up 4/19/25 on Icon of the seas I booked a room like this. I feel like I would sleep so good with that open and the sound of the water. We are on the 11th deck so not sure if thats good or bad lol. My 1st cruise and like an idiot I picked the biggest ship. I am already anxious about the part of just getting to the ship and on the ship what to take what not to take all that but I have over a year to figure it all out I guess 😅

@LifeWellCruised In preparation for our first cruise (we will be on the Beyond deck 6 with an infinite veranda) you please tell me if the bathroom walls are metal and if there is a retractable close line? I’ve been adding your recommendations to an Amazon list and I figured you would know the room the best.

I'm so glad I watched this video as we did book an Infinite Veranda on the Beyond. I'm sending this video to my husband to watch as well as he wasn't sold on the IV, but I think your video will convince him it was a good choice. Thanks for all you do for us cruisers. The knock against this cabin that is likely to be a dealbreaker for me is the heat aspect. Many have reported uncomfortable cabins even after raising the window.. It might be less of an issue for many, but I hate humidity and heat. I'll go with the porthole veranda for that reason alone.

You stayed on an Eden class ship. We have too and we enjoyed the infinite veranda. You mentioned the mirror situation. Where the chair is . . . You may pull the chair out and slide that table in and then you have a full length mirror.

Thank you Alana for your balanced review. You mention some features that have not come up in other reviews. I have booked an infinite veranda cabin on Celebrity Edge for a 19 day voyage from Honolulu to Sydney in October 2024. I booked it without looking at any reviews, because it reminded me of the cabin I had on a river cruise of the Avalon Vista some years ago. I loved the openness and floor to ceiling views from that cabin and I expect I will enjoy them on the Edge as well.

We hated it. On EDGE.....NO AC when windows are open, Cant use "balcony" while someone is sleeping as the blinds open fully, no wind, not a real balcony. rather a window...large and sunny yes. We sailed a second time this time on BEYOND...my husband owes me one....and this balcony had a banging noise- which was evident to the staff as they moved us to a suite and gave us a large credit for the 2 nights we had to stay in our noisy infinite balcony room. Going on a Equinox sunset balcony next month...no more of those class ships...we will stick with the smaller Celebrity Ships.

When you are out on anthe balcony can the "doors" be closed behind you to prevent the heat and humidity from getting to the rest of the cabin? I see you had one door closed, can you close both? Leaving soon and I booked this type, unsure also because I like to come back into the cabin and cool off after sitting outside a bit.

The veranda stateroom looks fine to me.

There's only one cabin on a ship, the Captains. Everything else is a stateroom or berthing. Sorry, it's my time in the U.S. Coast Guard that's coming through here. Beyond that, nice review about the infinite veranda stateroom.

I had my doubts before viewing this video that I would not like this type of Infinite Veranda. After viewing this video, I still feel that I would not like the Infinite Veranda as much as a regular balcony cabin. The open window concept does not appear to have the same feeling of an open balcony. Also, the noise of opening the window may disrupt my sleeping partner in the morning.

Going on the Edge next May... can't wait. Should be awesome for glacier viewing!

I think it is superior unless it is very hot or cold outside because leaving it open will really heat or cool or cabin.

Does the cabin have plugs near the beds for plugging in a machine for sleep apnea

my hesitation would be, i like the ocean air, (the sound like you ) i like the wind blowing? do you get that with the Infinite Veranda? can you leave the window open partially? like half up? i've stayed in a sunset veranda, it make me dizzy the backwards motion so i don't prefer them , thanks for the great videos

Always thought this was a 'smart' concept. Some river cruise ships offer this concept.

Just returned from Beyond and an infinity verandah we loved it. Have great feel of spaciousness and could sit in sunshine. You have described it perfectly. Cruise from Rome to Turkey Greece and Naples was great. Usually have traditional balcony but loved this style and ship overall

I booked an infinite veranda twice. I felt with all of the positive reviews about them, I must have missed something the first time. At the end of the day IMO, it's just a large window that comes down some, with an optical illusion that you have more space. It is space that you can't practically use, access or sit on. Once you walk up to the window, your experience is over. I like watching the waves and being close to the sea. I will never buy an infinite veranda again.

I did a 14 day Atlantic crossing on the Edge. I had booked an oceanview and was upgraded to an infinite veranda. I loved it. My only complaint was the two chairs and small table that were on the veranda were in the way. I had no use for them and there was nowhere to stow them.

I love them! I am not fan of tropical weather and I'll never sit out in the Balcony to sweat in it.
The Inifinite Veranda is great in that I treat it as an Ocean View with a floor to ceiling window.
When It gets too warm, I close the folding doors and curtains. When its not I get the view!
Whatever it is I do, I am always in an Air Conditioned space! Perfect!

I didn't like the infinite veranda, To me, it felt more like just a window than a balcony...

I like this infinity veranda idea. As much as we love balconies we really only use it early morning for coffee. It's so windy.

Sailed Edge, never again. We love the traditional balcony and the captain having control of that window did not please us. When they closed the window it became a sauna. LOVED the rest of the cabin but never that "veranda" again.

Had 2 previous stays in an infinite cabin on edge class ships and just about to go on a third, love it 👌👌👌

I can understand folks in tropical climates hating the Infite Veranda. But up in Alaska where its chilly I think it would be great.

Does the porthole view open up to the outside at all (such as halfway down)?

Sadly, when you are in port and windows are being washed they lock your v window. This was done to me at the first day at Ft. Lauderdale.

Love your videos, Ilana! We are just off the Celebrity Apex to Iceland. First time on an Edge class ship, and our last! Just not the cruise experience for us! We are Elite Plus with Celebrity so have cruised with them a lot, we did an Infinite Veranda and loved everything about the look, the electronic capabilities, but our window was dirty even after being washed! However, our biggest con was the heat effect. We were in Iceland, avh temp 60F, if our window was I. The sun, the AC could not keep up, so we were always closing the shade! We might as well have had an inside room.

I would love to have this infinite veranda. I had one like it on a Scenic Rhine River cruise but it couldn’t be controlled by the phone.

I couldn’t do it. I like the separate outside space. I couldn’t live with that puke green color scheme either🙂

We loved this room in every way on the Epic!

WE sailed in this type of cabin and enjoyed it. As you said they both have advantages but this type seemed to increase the feel of space in the room so it was a plus for us. Sadly Celebrity seems to be making it harder to work with a travel agent rejecting any calls for service to corporate and forcing the agent to deal with them. As Clark Howard would say - customer NO service. I have found this with RCL also. But this room is nice.

Missing on The Beyond is the grandiose two tiered dining room! The restaurants feel like, well, simple common hotel restaurants. But apart from the lack of old world dining elegance, departure of an elegant wait staff (now more typical restaurant help who treat you the way a restaurant treats you.) and a concierge who calls me “madam”…. the Beyond is quite literally “beyond” anything else! The sound system!!!! Wow!!! The theatre!!! Wow!!! The pool areas!!! Wow!!!

I don't think I would like this. I like the veranda open. I love sitting outside wouldn't like being confined in the room. I also like to dry my bathing suit outside on veranda.

Big negative for me you didn't cover would be the kind of all or nothing when it comes to light or dark in the mornings. If one is a late sleeper and your partner is up earlier and sitting in the veranda area w/ the shade up, thoses partition doors wouldn't much light unless there were another set of curtains behind the veranda doors. In a traditional balcony cabin you have a curtain by the sliding door and one can sit outside while your partner sleeps. That goes for afternoon naps as well. The other con, for me, is you're really not out being one w/ the sea.

Frankly, if the Captain is worried about the balcony in bad weather, I would rather leave that decision to him and be kept safe inside. These cabins look wonderful to me, especially the bathrooms, which don’t have sleazy, disgusting vinyl shower curtains.

What a great review. We have done several Celebrity cruises. We would definitely give this type cabin a try.
