Thanks for the info Robert, we all think we're riding correctly until we're not; and then it's not a good situation..knowing how to start and stop are probably the 2 most important skills to learn..
ОтветитьGood stuff, I'm gonna practice this exercise tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this technique, sir. Much appreciated!
ОтветитьThanks Robert for your expertise on being the boss.
ОтветитьJust discovered your vids and am now a subscriber! I bought an ultra classic 3 weeks ago and your videos have helped me become the boss of her in no time. I had been riding for 19 years before getting the ultra but she’s an entirely different animal to the Honda VTX 1800 I was riding. Thank you Robert so much!! What you’re doing for the community is amazing friend!!
ОтветитьThank you Robert, I have been ridding for many years. Sad to say I was not aware of this concept. Health issues have kept me off my bike for the past couple years but I am good to go now and look forward to using these techniques you teach. You are a very good instructor.
ОтветитьA: at least I know I can pick it up off the ground 😂
B: I'm going to try this when I get my heart out of my throat 😅
Thx for the info 👍
ОтветитьGreat video. I always find the friction zone with a hydraulic clutch is finicky. Any tips?
ОтветитьСпасибо большое, полезное видео👍🏻!
ОтветитьExacly what I needed! Practice day today!
ОтветитьHi what size, brand, style are those bars on your bike. They look and I can see they feel awesome.
ОтветитьWow How I found this channel is beyond me. I just got done with my Msf course. Now i have to practice with my first bike (96 Fatboy). Thanks for all the tips! Will be checking your other videos out.
ОтветитьMan I love the way you break this stuff down. This is so helpful.
ОтветитьRobert. You truly are my hero on motorcycle control. I love your channel . Thank you for all the great detailed information
ОтветитьHi Robert I own a 2021 street glide and I have fallen three times turning left on an incline driveway or street. I practice slow riding every time I’m on my bike and watch your videos regularly. I know that I was not being cautious when turning . I am very upset with myself over this! Any suggestions? Cathy ybarra
ОтветитьSensational, great insight, thanks!
ОтветитьMy take away was we don't need speed we need power. I will keep that in my mind as I practice.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI’ve been “riding” for 43 years but I’m ashamed to say I’ve never been the boss of my bike. This rather simple lesson was a HUGE eye opener! Thank you from a fellow retired LEO
ОтветитьExcellent info! I’m going to practice it. I’m wobbly at slow speed and your practice tips will help me eventually become a pro. I can hardly wait to try it out. Unfortunately, my bike is in the shop … 😢
ОтветитьGreat info thanks Rob 👍
ОтветитьMy son is embarking along the path to learning how to ride and we're gonna start with this very video!
Thanks very much for posting this video!
Brilliant Robert! I had that very problem yesterday in very slow-moving traffic. It seems I need to keep it pre-loaded and use more rear brake - thank you so much. Liked and subscribed!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your knowledge, good stuff. In the end, you stepped off the low side. I thought in another video you said high side? I'll have to go back and re-watch. Thank you, Sir.
ОтветитьHi Robert, I've watched them all, but without any doubts at all, you are the best rider and instructor anywhere in the world.....Thanks you very much..!
ОтветитьOstentatious video.. Truly. So helpful.
ОтветитьEverything is cooler is Pooler.. 😂
Former LEO Chatham County. I miss that area
Im 73 and still learning and started riding at 14. Video is very informative
ОтветитьI've been riding since the 70's. Until last year my latest model was, I still have it, a 93 Heritage. I now also have an Ultra Classic and I'm looking for braking info but don't see what I want in your "Slow" series. I really see slow then stop using the rear. I'm so used to a single disk that the double antilocks on the new bike seem terrible. Their response is so quick, almost unexpected. Is it simply just getting used to that or is there something to learn? Old dog, new tricks. Slow and breaking are not exactly my friend even with very nearly years 50 on two wheels. Can you point me to one of your videos I may be missing? Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks bud.
ОтветитьHI Robert: do you have a video on starting a motorcycle on a hill, and starting on a hill when you have to turn right.
ОтветитьYour the best I learned to ride my Harley by watching your slow speed videos thanks a lot
ОтветитьThank you sir. As with all skilled physical activities, the simplest fundamentals is what most easily escapes us. Just like in baseball, football, hockey, or any other sport, we get good and we ignore the basic fundamentals. We rely solely on our extreme skills. Like not running out a ground ball at full speed, or hitting the cutoff man, we become to good for our own good. I know I’m guilty of it. I’ve been working hard on becoming a better rider, and these fundamental skills you’re sharing make us far more solid than the average Joe. If we practice! So thank you, and keep it coming. Much appreciated.
ОтветитьIt’s been in stop and go traffic and very slow moving, I’ve been there many times but I still can’t ride a bike as good as you do but scared of dropping my bike trying to do the sharp turns like you do and I’m 72 been riding sense I was 19 riding a FLHTK now 4th one and many other kinds too, I like what you do!
ОтветитьWhen you say "cover the rear brake" are you meaning apply the rear brake or simply cover?
ОтветитьBrilliant.
ОтветитьSuch clear concise explanations make me come back again and again for more info. Thank you.
Ответитьgood job - thanks
ОтветитьRobert, I'm happy to say that I stumbled upon your channel (and subscribed). Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience in making us better riders. I was also once a police motor officer and constant training sure does keep you sharp. I recently purchased a used Harley (2011 HD Ultra-Limited and can't wait to get it). I'm positive I'll be practicing some of your skill tests with it, because they are very valuable. Thanks again for all that you do here because I appreciate it.
ОтветитьMy husband is very impressed with the camera work , what are you using
ОтветитьI've been on Mc all my life and probably over 300k hwy miles under my belt, however since brain surgery and 33 radiation treatments 06/21, I've not been able to ride w confidence or feel scared?
I can't ride? I own several MCs and Harleys but, I feel if I'm ever to ride again, I need to put the training wheels on?
I thank you for all my f your knowledge you made me feel more confident on my bike THANK YOU IM NEW TO YOU PAGE BUT WILL BE A BIG FOLLOWER AND PROMOTE YOUR PAGE TO MY FRIENDS…..
ОтветитьI love your videos and your style. Just getting back on a street glide after battling cancer for the last several months. Great refresher stuff for me that restores my (and my wife/passenger's) confidence. Thanks for all you do brother. On to the next video....
Ответитьi have been riding 46 years and you still teach me things great job man
ОтветитьThat was a great exercise. The physics of what you taught are on point. Thank you.
