If we were villains by ML Rio: Oh my god, it made me cry so much especially the last few pages

Tbh in the fourth book of the acotar series all the character just yap and there’s no plot! Rly good series overall tho!!!

so there's a book I forgot the name of, and here are things I know about it. if you think you know of it, PLS reply. I read it in grade 4/5 a few years back and will probably copy paste this over book tube. Okay. here is all I know about it:
The book which I forgot the name of
-There is a demon called “Balthazar”
-The main character is an adult father to a girl.
-At the end, the MC survives and sees his daughter
-One creature from each planet (IIRC) is chosen to fight until one remains, suspiciously like the HG.
-MC is the human one
-It’s secret, so nobody except for the “gamemakers” for want of a better word and contestants know it’s happening
-It’s fantasy/dystopian and YA. nearest genre I could think of, though not sure if it's technically dystopia.
-It’s kind of popular, probably a decent bit less than Stephen King but still known.
-The demons/monsters come from other planets.
-It DEFINITELY takes place in a library, probably one in NY, but is one of the biggest in America.

A court of thorn and roses was so awful I'm physically angry that i got pressured into reading it. I have a trauma reaction everytime I hear the word "trembling."

Completely agree with If We Were Villains! I got an ARC of this book before it came out and didn't read it until 2 years after the release date and I SERIOUSLY regret it. LOVED IT. 💖

You want to know something sad? I brought one book on my 5 week holiday (tcp) I was on chapter 7 and didn’t read it the whole holiday until yesterday because I was so busy. And now I have a week left on holiday and I don’t have anymore books and I have about 50 pages left in the book 😢😢. BUT I realised there is an additional book in between the first and second books so I’m going to go to a bookstore and SEARCH for it 😅😅

I remember putting off The Cruel Prince for a couple months because the beginning just wasn’t getting to me.
I ended up finishing the series in 2 days and now I don’t know what to read because I can’t stop thinking about it about it 😭

ACOTAR is so good. I didn’t put it off at all and read it at like 12 but I also don’t regret it.

It was Percy Jackson for me, I put it off for 2 decades…
Now at 33 I’ve read fully up to the last Olympian and I am one page 338 in the lost hero(which my god is trash, like I’m waiting for Percy I know he isn’t in it sooooo ye)
