So, I have this combo and tried installing it today. I ran through calibration AFTER installing the Build Tak system and got an error message "XYZ calibration failed. Please consult Manual". So, can you tell me what the next step would be to get up and running?
ОтветитьDo you know how the calibration process works with this? I did the regular calibration without the build plate but how do you do the calibration of the print head afterward? Live Z adjust beforehand to a higher level? What is that usually at like -3mm?
Ответитьi think that the I3 MK2.5 upgrade do a better job(and also give you plus like Sensor Filament etc)
ОтветитьJoel, I know you don't do support. But a quick question, you said to 'change the live Z'. How much did you have to change yours?
I got the Buildtak Flexplate for use on my MK2S, and it won't sense through the plate during pre-print setup.
Suggestions or point me to where I can RTFM .... Thanks in advance
BTW, the 9"x10" Flexplate system seems to fit.
Will u ever check on anet a6 I know u have done the a8 but just asking
ОтветитьSo how did you get it? I talked to the prusa folks and they said it wouldn't be available just by itself, but only with the 2.5 kit.
ОтветитьSorry but this "cool new stuff" shout at the end is making you look silly and immature! I like the channel but doesn't have the same taste since you moved out of the space you used to use.
ОтветитьWould you know what size screws are used to secure the CR10 stock fan to the extruder on the X-axis? Thanks for a reply.
Richard
What is heating the bed like with build tak?
Does the heat remain consistent ?
How much longer to reach temp?
Does the surface of the build tak, match watch the thermistor says?
No Buildtak on me.
Ответитьwhat if i want to print something but don't have a 3d printer? and don't need a 3d printer because this is a 1 time thing
ОтветитьIs that blue custom thing you have necessary to use the build tak or can I just slap the build tak right on the prusa bed?
Ответитьnice.......
ОтветитьHey, I was wondering if you would recommend the Prusa Mk3 as my first printer. I am only printing small parts and pods for my race quads. But I need the prints to be high quality to insure durability.
ОтветитьEvery cool joel
ОтветитьHi Joel!
Why don't you try a XYZprinting 3d printer? I have one and it´s awesome
Thanks for shooting this. The price is putting me off for now, but I'm glad to have an alternative if the 2.5 upgrades get stuck in backorder limbo.
ОтветитьComes in a 9" x 10" version that should fit the Prusa. $99 bucks for the FlexPlate system. $23 for an extra FlexPlate. Ouch! Might be worth it if you use filaments like Polymaker PC-Plus or PC-Max that stick to BuildTak almost too well but don't stick to PEI without glue stick. You can also just replace the PEI sheet with a BuildTak sheet, but if you do, you may have to lower your P.I.N.D.A. probe to get it to work, and of course, it won't flex.
Ответитьprice of this buildtak is a price of upgread to mk2.5 so no thanks i will buy from prusa
ОтветитьJoel Have you not used fila print surface ? I am doing a lifesize R2D2 build put fila print on my mk2 bed after I ripped the pei getting one of the parts off and now I don't want to ever print on anything else. Once it is cooled to room temp about ten minutes for me every thing comes on just like if I was picking it up off a table I had just set it down on. Honestly I have no interested in the new bed on the mk3 I will still get one for the other features
ОтветитьNow print Mars in rustable iron filiment
ОтветитьDoes xyz-calibration works after adding the magnetic buildtek on the MK42? Sometimes after transporting it or larger maintenance you need to redo this procedure.
ОтветитьThink that printer will ever come with an enclosure? Or is that too far from its roots?
ОтветитьFINALLY!! Sorry I yelled with excitement. Does it seem to take longer to warm up?
Ответитьyep i'm sold haha
ОтветитьBuildtak is a consumable item. You'll probably need to replace the top layer often. I wish these came stock with PEI sheet.
ОтветитьBuying a BuildTak was the best thing I've ever done to my 3D printer.
ОтветитьThanks Joel! These types of segments are my favorite!!
ОтветитьI have 2 Prusa I3 Clones (AM8) with the BuildTak Flex plate system. Works perfect. Requires ZERO effort.
ОтветитьHave to complain about me having no complains. Crap!
ОтветитьSo glad you were able to prove this out as working on the Mk2! That had been a big question for a while now.
ОтветитьDidn't Design Prototype Test come up with this idea first?
ОтветитьHigh Five Joel! Have you gotten your Prusa i3 MK3 yet? I ordered mine and am eagerly awaiting news about shipments.
ОтветитьThis is a very Cool product ! and it works !
ОтветитьBuildTak vs PEI, what is better overall?
Ответитьyou should 3d print R2-D2
ОтветитьThink you need to check your mic, the sound is getting worse lately in videos from this location you are in now.
Still the content is awesome as always ;)
So you just lay the buildtak right on top? How does it stay attached? Live z adjustment and good to go
ОтветитьWhat dimensions do they recommend you order for a prusa mk2s out of curiosity?
ОтветитьI never know what he's gonna do next. There's Joel Telling what he'll do. Hahaha PUNS!
ОтветитьI have been using Hatchbox PLA with my printer, and I have noticed that the plastic that my printer came with actually prints smoother and cleaner than Hatchbox. Could this be a temperature or extrusion problem? Is Hatchbox's PLA just not that good? I was wondering if you could possibly post a video reviewing some filaments and comparing them. That would really help me and possibly many other 3d printerers out there.
ОтветитьBuying a mk2.5 upgrade for 99-149$ gives mk3 spring sheet to your printer with full functionality
ОтветитьHow about bed temps? Do you have to go higher temps to compensate for the extra layers?
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьWhat buildtak size did you get for the Prusa?
Ответить
