What surprised me most? Many of these plants are NOT Native, and Native Americans did not use them traditionally — Rosemary, aloe, lavender, sage, honeysuckle, mullein, alfalfa, Ashwagahdh. These are from Europe, Asia and/or Africa. Also, while Wild Ginger is native, you can’t eat it unless you like poison

Lavender and Rosemary are not Native to America, nor are some of the others you list. Why not report on Echinacea, Jewel Weed, Dendelion, etc?

The only complaint I have of this video is that it is frustrating that it is AMERICAN plants but its narrerated by someone who is not American and she pronounced half the words wrong! Dont get me wrong I love the accent but not when im trying to learn proper names and shes sounding them out wrong.

No one is a "native" to North America. These American Indians descendants migranted to North America before the land masses separated.

This is bunk! She is listing a bunch of herbs brought over by Europeans that got naturalized. Rosemary and Yarrow are just a couple of examples.

Native Americans are slaughtered and genocided by European christians. They are now occupying what they call America, without being punished for their deeds. They all seem to be okey with it. For something in the last 500years. But they are actively arming the jews to kill Palestinians for something of 2000years ago. What a peacefull and righteous people isn't it. A real peacefull religion. While they shameless pointing to others.

As a student of herbalism for many years I can tell you lots of the plants listed were bought over by the Europeans, it’s sad that many traditional native remedies were lost with the persecution and decimation of this continents First Nations

as a child living in NZ we were bought up on many of these beautiful fruits growing wild, For many years as kids we had access to Blackberries everyday until some-know-it-all in the Council decided they had to spray all along the roadways & highways virtually wiped these plants out. They had No idea the value at the time of these medicinal plants, AWFUL CONSEQUENCE

Not going to watch it, just NOPE. I have been a naturalist for 40 years grew up in an Indian family with Indian cures, that barely made a difference over a placebo. I was given Juniper berries for decades for headaches and i remember the first Tylenol i took as a teen and i was blown away. The reason why we don't live to be 35yr old anymore, MEDICATION, made from chemical compounds.

Red clover, lavender, mullein, alfalfa, and ashwagandha are not a native plant to North America so your list is EXTREMELY incorrect. And I probably missed some others.

What? No Echinacea ? One of the main prairie herbs of First World Indians. And lavender? rosemary? sage?? .. all native to Europe! Mediterranean areas. Honeysuckle , Valerian, also not native in the America’s. Did Indians cross the ocean to discover those herbs ..? 😂 … What a non-story…

Turns out the native Americans in the north and west have the root language Ket, the genetic and the agricultural education of the people who came here with them from the Tarim Basin and the Altai. On the East coast genetically similar clans came from the middle east. All over the world they were known as Amur, Amurru, Maru, Mari and Amorites (and Moors). They brought civilization, medicine and agriculture, pyramid-building and other megalithics as well. Their devils club plant oplopanax horridus was a GMO developed in China and brought to their culture around Lake Superior, grown for 2,000 years there before any was brought to the west coast where it's now dominant up all the ravines. There it was grown in BC for 2,000 years before any was sent back to Japan to be genetically spliced into Oplopanax Japonicus. We have 5,000 years of definite history there with a manmade GMO. Of course we know a lot of our food crops have been similarly enhanced with GMO methods to make them bigger. No telling how many laboratories/Edens there were, they had the skills wherever they went.

Mullein, ashwagandha, alfalfa, red clover are useful medicinal plants, but not native to the Americas. Therefore, Native Americans would not have traditional use of them pre-colonization. Land based tribes of Eurasia & Africa would certainly have been utilizing these medicinally.
