1. That bull was totally hit. I’ve seen too many elk hit and missed and that’s the exact way they act then hit. No elk stops, prances, and high-steps backwards like a horse when the reigns are pulled when not hit. At that distance the bullet would have got there much earlier than the sound and when missed the elk look around at why the dirt just magically blew up next to them or look around to see where the sound is coming from.
2. Your shot was waaaay to far away. It look about three weeks for you to get back on him in your riflescope for a second shot. You should shave been able to have sent two or three more as he was standing there. That bulls was still moving when you shot in the first place. You would think that with a camera rolling to capture content to collect clicks on the WWW you would use more restraint.
He didn't miss that bull. At least admit it.
ОтветитьDumbas -- you hit that second bull in rear right leg. Wyoming guy. Second next time wait for a broadside shot-- and get closer. Wyoming guy
ОтветитьHunting In Wyoming I had an Elk Tag to Fill
At the forest edge sat very still ready to kill
Waited until a five point bull tested my skill
Back in town by ten AM that Elk fit the bill
With That Elk Tag Filled Elk Steaks Hit the Grill
Hell of a shot brother!
ОтветитьPorter is not made to hunt...he is not a killer.
ОтветитьWhat brand of under-the-shoulder gun bearer are you using?
ОтветитьLegend has it he is still peeing
ОтветитьI just watched a lama piss for 25 seconds. Wh-who tf put that in?? 🤣🤣🤣
I went hiking in Colorado in Rocky Mountain national park and now I know why I ran into lamas.
I am genuinely interested in going hunting in the back country - never been hunting before.
Loved it! Thanks, guys!
ОтветитьTortilla on the stovetop..oh yea! Been hunting for an hour….let’s get back and have another fold over! Great vid
ОтветитьSeen my share of gut shots, when that animal stopped hunched up and backed up hill ... back of the belly 10" in front of the rear leg, watch in slow mo.. Can't miss it. Don't get me wrong it happens. I would be tearing up a tag personally.. but 3 bulls very good...
Ответитьthe lama pissing lol had me dying
Ответитьlol pounding in that stake and that llama is wtf dude get are rock
ОтветитьGeez guys..... maybe don't shoot a bull while it's trotting from 400 yards!? Not very ethical hunting boys...
ОтветитьDoes a general season mean that non-residents can buy OTC tags?
Ответитьgreat hunt
ОтветитьI am 1000th comment
ОтветитьAnd that’s why you should always follow your shot and stay down on the rifle
ОтветитьSEPTEMBER CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH!!
ОтветитьWOW!!!Awesome hunt from beginning to end!
ОтветитьEnjoyed the team work! Quartering and hanging the meat is critical. Congratulations to you both!
ОтветитьI know it’s probably already answered but what caliber are you guys using? Been looking at 7mm-08 for an elk/mule rifle but I know reaching out it falls off with energy
ОтветитьMore guys that only feel like men when they carry a gun
ОтветитьHell yeah, guys, two bulls. You can not do better then that. Great Job
ОтветитьQuestionable shot choice and horrible follow up shot ability, he turned broadside and u should’ve been able to drop him
ОтветитьGreat hunt fellas! It's not about the size of the antlers, but the price of the memories! As stated, this one will be hard to top for you! Congrats & Well Done!
ОтветитьGoing this October for the first time...can't wait! What an awesome trip fellas!
ОтветитьYOU HIT THAT ELK! Don't ever believe that your viewer's who are elk hunters believe anything different! You HIT THAT ANIMAL AND IT DIED ........!
ОтветитьDon't be stupid. You hit that elk! EVERYBODY SAW IT. If you guys don't track that animal your dumb in another way! That bullet could have went straight through. WHY DIDN'T YOU TRACK THAT ANIMAL?
Shame on you long distance shooters AGAIN! I say ban you guys past 500 yds from the woods!!!
Holy crap talk about a bickering couple. Good hunt but at least edit out the bad Attitudes.
ОтветитьThis Is a great video and congratulations but your alpaca is not hunting it’s trying not to die from a bear
ОтветитьTaking long range shots on a moving elk for your first elk hunt. God damn I hate social media hunters.
ОтветитьThe joys of hauling water; somewhere around 8 lbs. per gallon and it won't compress into a stuff-sack!
ОтветитьMay have missed it, but what caliber and what rifle were y’all using?
Ответитьlots of sexual tension between these 2
ОтветитьBrandon, I`m just wondering why you don`t have a bad case of Ulcer`s after this Hunt!!
ОтветитьHow do you miss an Elk??? They are huge!
Ответитьi would give anything to live in that country side back when you didnt need tags and just whatever died is what you ate
ОтветитьPacked out an elk this year. OMG, that is hard work from start to finish, and you all did two!!?? tip my hat to you.
ОтветитьI wish I was in a position were I could turn down elk. When I’m out hunting if I see a legal bull he’s mine
ОтветитьCongrats, love chasing elk. Take a look at wiser precisions quick sticks and quick clip. With your existing adjustable trekking poles you can setup a rock solid shooting platform that can quickly adjust to varying terrain and is perfect for the reverse slope shots that you often find yourself with. Our family shoots lites out with them, we practice with them all the time and my wife just took her bull from 293 yards with her 7mm-08 and he went less than 10 yards.
Ответитьive been hunting over 50 years, never understood the omg omg drama or the shakes, you find your game shoot it and haul it out, when i started we needed the meat , was never an excitement was just a job to be done
ОтветитьThis is an awesome hunt. Really makes me wish more of my hunting buddies were up for adventure in the back country. I find myself making these trips alone, but can only imagine how fun itd be to have a good friend along for the ride.
ОтветитьDid these guys even check for blood on the bull they missed? You don't shoot across a drainage like that, get that kind of stagger reaction and not get eyes on, that bull could've bedded up and died.Even if they look fine elk are beasts and may take a minute with a moderate hit. And if these guys are in grizz country, all wrong on the meat hang. IDK, seemed inexperienced.
ОтветитьElk meat is the tastiest I have tried.
ОтветитьWhat a great video! Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьI wanna know how well the tipi held up to the high wind? Any issues?
Ответить
