Having a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in Astro physics I can positively say that this video is :56 long. Those degrees just helped me make this conclusion I'm a fucking genius Brodolskies!!

Also, if you understood the price of raw anodized aluminum and threaded steel guiding rods, along with the price of the plastic lining that is necessary in the top portion of the product, you'd realize that raw materials alone would cost upwards of $90, and the CNC mill and lathe machinist required to manufacture these pieces would probably charge far more than the $70 deficit that remains.

you guys are all really, really... really dumb. As a mechanical engineer with a minor in polymers, I can tell you that this device is far superior in that it compresses the ice, whereas any freezer mold will create a sphere that inevitably will contain air pockets, a lower overall density, and other deformities which will cause it to break apart almost instantly upon contact with warm liquid. If you're going to comment, at least check to make sure you're brain is functioning first. damn...

I have two silicone death star ice ball molds. Each cost about $13, way cheaper and better than this.

Where do you get the huge cubes of ice to mold into a sphere? is it just a handful of regular cubes?

Glace makes perfect spheres of ice and the water is never cloudy...

"Don't worry guys....we just need to wait for this ice to melt (everytime) and then we can all have a drink!"

Storing them might be an option....just don't want to forget I'm making round ice and then have to start over again...LOL

than again, couldn't you just get a sphere ice mold maker, just fill it 80% to counter the expansion.

It would be easier and cheaper to just design an icetray, freeze water filled pingpong balls, or try a million other simple ideas.

i can get a lifetime supply of ice cubes for 150$ than just a sphere maker.

Please don't put ice in single malt. It is already up to 60% water and doesn't need diluting any more.
