Many people think the Americans bailed the South Koreans out as they retreated. Little do many know on how long that pot had been boiling at the time, and that the South Koreans gave them hell as much as they could. Fighting a Soviet backed N Korea wouldn't have been easy to do at all. Even more so when you're back is against the frigid cold and deadly Sea of Japan/China Sea.

More fun facts. South Korean soldiers assisted the United States in Vietnam. With extremely high honor among them as almost all of the people who helped were chosen from only the top tier of volunteers. They were efficient and very disciplined. We taught them what we knew after the armistice started and once they returned to help us? We seen our tactics in full motion blended very well with the inherent code of honor within many Asian people.

LOL Liam Neilson as MacArthur in that Inchon film isn't too far fetched given the massive personal arrogance of both of them.

JSA is not a war movie. It is a crime investigation. Very nice and interesting script.

Since the Korean War technically has not end yet, most Korean movies are "technically" war movies. Other good movies I'll recommend: Swing Kids, My Way, The Admiral: RC, The Battleship Island, Assasination. Also 'Obsessed' and 'Ode to My Father' which have wartime backdrops

people needs to stop. Nothing can really beat taegukgi to be honest. the others are debatable but in Korean war films, taegukgi should never be replace at top 1. I just keep on laughing at these people who keeps saying 71: into the fire is the best. hahahha lols. Ithink because of the fan girls of T.O.P. but common, Taegukgi sets the bar and can even compete in best war films in the world.

there is one movi that i waTCHED ONCE about a nort korean capten wents on a patrol at night and his unet on a border meets a sout k team bout heams put down the guns down and eat a pig that they capured .ps nort korean capten is a big fan of socer and the world cup was playng that time and he started tocking about it and the enemeis started to meeet ewri day to waTCH socker but then nort korean inteligance unit suspeckts a spay and hi runs to the other side. it goas somting like that if you know the name of the movie plase tell me i would realy whant to watch it again

My hopes were right about the Number 1 film. Wayyyy better than Saving Privater Ryan.

I think it can also be said to be a war film but against the barbarians “heavenly soldiers” this one was very great movie from 2005. The idea of this story line in my opinion is extraordinary

Really no surprise to see TaeGukGi at no1 ...though seeing R-Point there did surprise me,it is a war film its just i always think of it as a horror film...
