Best damn car I ever owned! Period, full stop! The e28s will never be matched, they are just a visceral piece of machinery. I have owned 4 e28s, one being the M5. I will never sell it. Thanks for the video.
Ответитьthx for your tribute
ОтветитьThanks for the video. It brought back some very good memories. I've had over 30 cars in my lifetime. The 1988 e28 M5 was the only car that I kept for more than10 years. It was always fun to drive and It was utterly fantastic on track days. A wolf in sheep's clothing for its time!
ОтветитьI’m wondering if this was shot in La Honda area …
ОтветитьI all M5s. it's my favourite model from bmw, not the M3. so yea this is got to be the best.
ОтветитьWell done!
ОтветитьIs that the Salesforce tower?? I keep thinking that’s San Francisco 🥴 But I can’t tell..
ОтветитьThe first US buyer was suppoedly Matthew Mellon, the inspiration for Julian in Less Than Zero.
ОтветитьM power show that bound to be racing car.
ОтветитьHello sir
Is there any of this kind I can own, please?
I want to own one, please
Had one in the 90's, regret selling it. There seems to be a theme there...
ОтветитьThose front and rear bumpers ruin the car the euro spec are much nicer
ОтветитьThe ultimate driving machine. With the M6 and then M3 they made some of the best. If I won the lottery, I would have one of each in my stable of cars.
ОтветитьDream car! Thanks for awesome video, yes I know it was created a year ago 😀 😉. Throttle down from Chicago ✌️
ОтветитьE39 was reliable, could keep up with a 911, and had an abundance of room. It’s still fast today whereas this, looked nice but at 220ish hp nothing to write home about
ОтветитьThis makes me miss my E28 528e manual. It wasn't my first car, but it was the first car I could drive (the first was an E30 316i project). It was a barn find that sat around since the mid 2000s, with a torn up seat, 360,000 kilometers, amd a bad idle control valve. The seats were trashed, it was on old tires, and it had a few dings in the hood. But...I absolutely loved it. The colour combo was brown over tan cloth, that 5 speed was sloppy but also precise, and someone put a 535i limited slip differential in the back. It got great fuel economy, looked fantastic, and started (almost) every single time. $1100 got me that car, and it was always going to be an engine donor for the E30. I wish I still had it, or another E28 528e manual.
ОтветитьThe 5 series is the automobile in which all others are judged by......
ОтветитьHad one, awesome sound.
ОтветитьSorry if you have already answered this, but what exhaust do you have on that car? Sounds perfect.
ОтветитьThe E28 M5, and the E30 M3 really represent the peak of BMW and were truly the Ultimate Driving Machines and BMW has never built any cars since that can compare. I have now seen a few of the presenters videos and he does a great job. I have owned 3 CS coupes, an E12 I still have, an E32, and still have an E30 M3. I have driven many of BMW's newer offerings and they are not in any way comparable. They got lost along the way to becoming a major company with way too high volume production. Not sure he said this and everyone probably knows, but the M5 was created for a BMW executive who had the great idea of sticking the M88 into a 5 series. Admittedly the S38 rather than the M1's motor. It was just so sweet and such a great drive that they decided to produce it in limited numbers.
ОтветитьThose US spec bumpers are so awful
Ответитьperfect size also, modern day M5 is absurdly big and looks soft
Ответитьbest part of all of these videos: the honest smile and fun
ОтветитьE39 was the last worthy M5 with the 5L V8, drove like a smaller car, really loved it.. Then they just started ballooning up in the E60 etc etc
ОтветитьThis is it! The vehicle that hooked me into the car enthusiast world! i remember snatching Dads Car & Driver magazine premiere of the M5 and I read the write up more than once.... then the 959 and F40 sealed my fate! Hooked every since!
ОтветитьDoesn't look luxury inside. In sport sedans have luxury interior
ОтветитьSadly China told all western politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, aircrafts or industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China....:-( China also banned all kind of synthetic fuels or hydrogen combustion. Because these are not energy efficient) Soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)
US ruins all the cars with theese f**king BIG bumpers!! Look at a European one instead! Good content, but hate US bumpers, cause they just ruins the look and hits you in the face....
ОтветитьE34 540i for me
Ответитьthese american bumpers make the car look so ugly though .. completely ruins the design
ОтветитьThe NSX was not from the 70s. Years of production prior the the newer cars now were from 1990–2005.
ОтветитьHigh quality content! Great stuff.
Ответить2002-03 E39 m5 for me!
ОтветитьAs a very lucky owner of an E28 M5 for the past 10 years, it's so great to see these amazing machines finally getting their due. Thanks for such a well produced and researched vid
ОтветитьWell done. Well done.
ОтветитьBMW wouldn't even recognize this car, today.
ОтветитьI have the E12 M535i here in the Uk………and yes they are all great to drive once you put pedal to the metal!!
ОтветитьHad one, sold it, regret it😭
ОтветитьEurope: Look at this BEAUTIFUL BMW! We'll never change it...
USA: Chin Extensions Save Lives...
F--kin USA.
Design wise, I'd take the E34 and E39 over this. But I can't deny the fact that this E28 is a great car for its time.
ОтветитьI remember on the 90s I used to see this for sale I should have bought half a docen
ОтветитьThat was a cool ass car. The scenes from the backroads reminds me of when I used to take my dads car down vine hill road in the Santa Cruz mountains when I was 16/17. The car was a 1980 528i. Love that linear straight 6 power.
ОтветитьThe Bauhaus datsuns are what this brand should be built on end of story.
ОтветитьI'm one of those people it needs alpina wheels, it sets the car off like nothing else
ОтветитьI've trusted hyphens taste since I knew his first car was a modified e21, I've owned an e21 and I understand hyphen, the Bauhaus Beemers are truly special
Ответитьi could never understand why american BMW` are so ugly.......untill someone pointed out the bumpers to me.......now i can`t unsee it.......thanks amerikkka
ОтветитьThis car was fun, you could pull away in fifth and keep pulling to the redline
ОтветитьDid the dude say "Ass Pain"? 🤣
ОтветитьTwo different sets of wheels? In the static shots they are the 17" Style 5s and the factory wheels when it's in motion.
ОтветитьSuspect those wheels are non-standard 😎
