I think it’s worth noting that Ares here was in a weakened state and not at full power due to his battle with Zeus that mortally wounded the God of War. This is why he needed to rage war and destroy humanity in order to cause enough bloodshed and destruction for him to feed off of and regenerate to his full power.

We see Ares at full power is capable of mortally wounding Uxas, a younger and way less powerful Darkseid. Which is still a hefty feat as no one else had ever stopped Uxas who conquered and terraformed entire planets. Ares at the time of his battle with Uxas was quite possibly the most powerful God ever as he was supercharged by the war and destruction of the biggest battle to ever occur on Earth.

Ares can easily defeat Diana😂

The reason why I like Ares more than Thor because he is true immortal in DC and he owned Uxas in snydercut and he battled Zeus and Zeus died from wounds given by Ares and Ares has so much abilities and skills and the guy is even older than Darksied so I think he can kick his ass but sadly he got nerfed 🤦🏻‍♂️
