Just watched this: stunning, nauseating and a must-watch imo. (Makes a good Trilogy with the historical drama "Chernobyl" and the post-apocalyptic documentary "The Babyshkas of Chernobyl".) The Lies, Lies, Lies... and suffering.

Perfect example of why you should NEVER trust your government, regardless of what country you're from.

Wow. Ive seen many doc about chernobyl but new videos be interesting. Very sad about children and babies and people though.

I find it a paradoxical form of karma, that even after the Soviet Union's bumblings in nuclear energy, caused it's demise, today Russia is flirting with that same nuclear, as a THREAT, that will more than likely cause ITS DEMISE, just some 35 odd years after their Chernobyl disaster..

That's IF Putitan is so diabolically and egotistically minded, that he purposefully DROP a nuclear bomb...

All in his total failure of an attempted to REUNITE that same failed Soviet Union in this so-called SPECIAL OPERATION... UGGH!!

I saw it on hbomax. Let me say, some parts especially with the children was downright heartbreaking. Also, it will make you question some of the conclusions regarding the cause of the accident featured in the show. Also, does anyone else find it strange that these tapes are all of a sudden released after the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

The name is ChOrnobyl.
Chornobyl means artemisia vulgaris, a mugwort. Just like the one in the Bible.
Russian version of ChErnobyl doesn't mean anything in any language - as it's a "translation" from ukrainian.
