Am confused between 3060 90W and 4050 75W laptops. Which one to choose,

Underclock the the 3060 it will perform better and runs cooler, my underclocked 3060 never get to 80. Its usually on 67-68 on my games like Monster hunter world. Hottest ive seen is 75 tops then gets cool again on Cyberpunk 2077

4050 is sweet spot because it will not nuke&melt the GPU...runs cool just for the sake of few fps.

Was that tested on a laptop

4060 runs cooler, it's a win for laptops and overclockers on pc

Not that big diff in graphics, all do well, the biggest diff the fps, but I dont think I would noticed it much. Maybe if youre in for esport?

The 4060 has a temperature drop of 13-15C compared to the 3060, and fps increases by 6-20%. However, most laptop CPUs are Intel's 10nm, resulting in high CPU temperatures. Even though the 4060 is over 70 degrees, the fan is still very loud because of the high temperature of the CPU. So you should choose amd cpu, only 7nm

Is 4060 200€ worth?

I remember the days when the new generation card was equivalent to the previous gen +1 cards (eg. 3060 = 2070 or 2070 = 1080). Now the new gen barely beats the exact one it's replacing, much less trying to compete with the one up higher previous model.

Just bought a laptop that is coming with a rtx 4060, it was a good deal and I don't regret it.

But Nvidia should regret releasing the 40 series.

After doing research, it is a total cash grab. There is bare minimal increase of performance compared to the last generation 3060

Here in Brazil the new G15 from dell with a 4050 is less expensive than any 3060 notebook, so I'd say is the best deal right now. ($300 of taxes tho...)
if I bought a Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 AMD in the US, it would be less expensive than what I paid for the new g15 with a 4050 here, like $80 less expensive... imagine that :')
