What's with all the redacted audio?
ОтветитьWhoever sees this God bless you, and have a wonderful day!
ОтветитьIt’s a re make of the series in the UK called “The Prisoner”. Even has a similar ending.
ОтветитьThat final scene where Turman addresses Christof, I think that was the most human part of the whole show. Watching it, the hesitation felt so real, and the blank stoic show of so many emotions and yet never a change in his face and that final, drawn out phrase. Every second after Truman opens that door felts like Jim Carrey really wasnt an actor. It really felt like this was a true event, and that whatever happened afterwards was real.
To me, it really cements that idea of "And then what." Having the final scene be so obsurdly real that it breaks the fourth wall of belief, atleast for me, feels like the most genius move. Anything I imagine after the movies cannon feels like its justified because this is a real universe. Not ours, but in every way it is real.
the truman show gave a cameo to bk99 and i just realized
ОтветитьCinema wins?
ОтветитьThis might have been considered a tragedy by me if I hadn't already been questioning everything.
ОтветитьI'd like to watch this video but I've never seen this movie and I don't wanna be spoiled
ОтветитьHonestly, if I had to- I'd say 10/10, because this is the best movie I have ever watched
ОтветитьWhat they do to others WILL be done to themselves times infinity ♾️
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👨🎓👩🎓🦁👼🦅🧭
HAHA 6,9 MILLION VIEWS
ОтветитьThis movie It’s a masterpiece, great excellent performance of Jim Carey
ОтветитьTragedy is the perfect catalyst for search of truth
ОтветитьThe scene of him screaming at them that they’ll have to kill him is amazing. The acting, music, and pure insanity of Truman screaming that and then immediately singing what do we do with the drunken sailor
ОтветитьNorth Koreans would relate to this in a wat
ОтветитьDisguised? Huh?
ОтветитьBrilliantly done!❤
ОтветитьI keep thinking at some point in real life, learning some stuff that we have and he didn’t know in his show life he might regret getting out. 😢
ОтветитьGet out of my fucking head
ОтветитьNow i wonder What's your 10/10 movie 😊
ОтветитьIt would be cool to have a movie called The Carrey Theater, where he is trying to win over a girl who is a Theater Junkie, and he has to disguise and characterize himself for roles in every Broadway show she attends.
Ответитьi watched this movie ages ago and it was insane, i watched it recently again except after a nice bun sesh and holy fuck, different type of movie
ОтветитьSomething sometimes overlooked is the name of his boat, the Santa Maria, the name of one of the ships Columbus took in search of the new world, just like truman uses it to find his new world.
ОтветитьIf im unknowingly in a show then recomending this video to me is so meta
ОтветитьCogito, ergo, sum. I think I spelled that right.
Ответитьthis shit sucks. the truman show isnt a disguised tragedy and I hope Viacom or whoever fucks you in the ass for copyright since you are transparently replacing the value of viewing the film. good day and subscribed, fuck you.
ОтветитьThe scary part about this movie is that there’s definitely gonna be another victim like the truman written under a “Sequel”
I mean notice how successful his show is to the real world? They probably made tons of sales and products from the things Truman would use in his “show” Now what makes u think they would stop the series?
In this world when a series is extremely successful there’s bound to be sequels or renewed seasons which makes me believe in this movies universe there will definitely be another series like the truamn show but under a different actor with a completely different setting and this time more procedures considering what happen with truman..
Now this is another theory? what if the truman show was really just an experiment to make a real truman show 🤫
after the mom said that he was being hallucinating, a few day later the father came back just to keep him lol
Ответитьcool, I didn’t know dr. jenner was in the truman show
ОтветитьIsn't it just a movie and not a real thing ntw the movie was amazing
ОтветитьStory of my life. Roy McDonald
Horror film.
Jim Carrey is at his best when he isn’t regurgitating potty humor
Ответить9/10 objecticely is always as good as you’re gonna get every movie has little flaws and it will never please anyone my subjective take is personally 10/10 I didn’t see anything wrong with it even your minor flaw I just thought he realised there was cameras in that time frame from his normal day to his sleeping and just snuck around them until he like turning one on hence the wave at the boat.
ОтветитьThis must have been the most boring show ever.
ОтветитьI feel like the tragedy of the movie is like. Actually pretty obvious?
Ответитьthis is legitimately the worst "video essay" i've ever seen. how the fuck are you this bad at your job
ОтветитьI watched this movie far too young and I have forever been traumatised..
ОтветитьI think the 2 people watching 5000 cameras wasn't a mistake, I think it was absolutely on purpose, they thought they had had so much control that their security got complacent.
ОтветитьJust noticed the hidden camera in the neighbor’s garbage can lol.
Ответитьi remembered my teacher having us watch this in school WITHOUT any idea or information about the movie's plot. it was a magical first time. we laughed, cried and cheered especially the ending.
ОтветитьThere is sooooo much you spot on rewatches of this film. Last time I saw it, I noticed that so many of Truman's fans/viewers have products that have been in his house. So the old ladies wear the same silky dressing gown as his wife, they drink out of the same big coffee cups, the guy in the bathtub has this blue foam sphere thing that Truman has in his bath, and I'm sure there are more.
Did this watch through with a much more anticapitalist lens and it's amazing. Like I never noticed before that every morning these two guys push him up against a wall with an advert behind him. Or that he's actually legally adopted by the corporation. And every time you see his best friend, he's carrying the sponsor beer.
Cristoff's obsession with the first baby conceived on live TV is absolutely disgusting too.
Truly a film I wish I could head back to watch for the first time again. That ending was such a mix of anger, tears and happiness that I've not quite experienced since in thousands of other movies
Ответитьi misunderstood the title of this video as a "cleverly disguised tragedy" being a bad movie
ОтветитьI would have LOVED to see 'The Truman Show' Part 2. I know that it's waaaay too late now. But I'm surprised that they didn't do it. Because there were so many stories left untold. For instance :
What happened to the 4 other unwanted babies ? They could have bought them into the next film. And Truman's natural Mother. I'm surprised that she hadn't already tried to contact him. Even if it was just to 'Cash-In' on his fame.
What if Meryl was actually (unknowingly) already pregnant ? ( I could even see Christof and Meryl themselves, trying to fake this, to get Truman to return, in a vane attempt to rekindle the show)
The battle that would ensue, between Truman and the T.V. show that all-but owned him.
Truman and his 'father' Christof. Because technically Christof is Truman's adoptive father.
Lauren : we know that Lauren would have been there for Truman, but could they survive ? Because; as was already implied. Truman could NEVER have a 'Normal' life, not in a million years. The world would STILL want to follow him, and watch what he was up to, at every minute of the day, just as they had done, for 30 years, and although they would be doing it because they loved and cared about him, it would still be an unliveable life for him, never having any peace or privacy. Where could he go ? especially as the T.V. show would be hounding him in court (because you know that they would, been as he was such a money-maker for them)
All of this could have made for a compelling sequel film, especially if it was made with the same care and attention that The Truman Show film was. But I suppose that they did just want to leave us asking questions, and asking for more. And; let's face it, if it were based on (technically) real life, then it would have just ended up, as a film about a man, who would be constantly in Court, trying to win his freedom, peace and privacy, and we all know that that could have taken The rest of Truman's lifetime, and still not have been resolved, because even that would have made money, and kept Truman in the public eye, where they ultimately wanted him to be, and it would have simply turned into a different variant of 'The Truman Show' which would have been yet another Cleverly Disguised Tragedy, and Truman would still be in a prison of another kind ...
I also totally agree. Jim Carey is a master at what he does.
I think there should be a movie about his life outside the studio. Could he make a happy life without it being prewritten? How about social interaction? Does he get to Fiji? I also think this would be a great finale film for Mr. Carrey.
