ОтветитьI wouldn’t worry too much about the shock itself, If you get a stiffer spring it might raise it just slightly and give you a little more length on the plunger but suspension like that is made to drop more than compress.
ОтветитьBetter plate the intire lower control arm as it's a stamped peace and is a weak link if you jump it it will bend and snap the welds of lower control arms without plaiting them

ОтветитьMore metal everywhere, coil angle, stronger tie rods, heim joints, if you want your shit to last yada yada
ОтветитьBringing tge top of those coilovers further out to straighten out the angle so its more up and down from a near 45° angle will help stiffen that front end up but it will also lift the front end up a but more. Bringing the bottoms in will also lift it more and have the same effect as doing the top for spring rate but youll also have more leverage on the coilover so it wont be as effective. Just encase you want to rework the mounts before buying springs

ОтветитьHaha pretty cool. Should put a bit in the middle of the upper control arms and check how much the wheel turns before adding in some triangulation back to the rear bush on the lower arm though

Ответитьyour lower arms are most likely going to fail if they aren't reinforced with a triangular brace and more gusseting. There's going to be a ton more leverage on them because of the added length so your welds or something else in your setup is going to fail. I would check some vids of long travel off-road builds to give you a better idea of how to reinforce the arms before you do any hard driving. If the lower arms fail, it will cause a chain reaction and break a lot of other stuff too!

ОтветитьCheck the coilangle/leverage.
Reseal, revalve, re pressure and respring, not just spring. You shouldnt be able to compress it too easily without the spring,, thats why springcompressors exist 😂 but i know youve thought about all this already Adel.
Oh, and yes, 10inches woulda sufficed (not what she said?),,,, woulda looked sick with some megaraptor style flared fenders 😁👍

ОтветитьMight try moving the shocks/springs to be in a more vertical orientation, that will help them work better anyways, and could help hold the front end up a little higher.
