The Apkes VX1 is a great mask, the strap adjustment is the best I have ever used and has demoted my Scubapro Devil to a secondary mask. The included neoprene strap is pointless in my eyes. The band itself is much too narrow and the Velcro scratchy. A strap wrap would have been better because the silicone band at the back of the head is very wide, standard strap wraps fit over it very difficult.
I love ponchos but I also have no problem looking weird :)

I'm keen on the poncho, but I'd much prefer it to have an opening in the front (zip or poppers), instead of having to throw it over the head.

I struggle with the apeks dsmb. It seems to flop on the surface a lot.

Simply Scuba does an excellent job producing their videos. Unfortunately I have to complain about the Apeks DSMB Highlighted in this video. I purchased one. Right out of the box, the inflator valve would not hold air. You could inflate the DSMB and all of the air would leak out very quickly through the inflator valve. The DSMB is way to narrow. The DSMB would be extremely hard to see from a boat. I own many other Apeks products. Their products are normally excellent. It was disturbing to see that Apeks would sell a piece of life saving equipment without testing it before it left the factory.
