It's so funny, now that I've taken their place, my grandparents, I just always kinda thought that they were 'always'
old. Aging is some kinda phenomenon.
Especially when you're young. Ten years old is an eternity. There really is no future. And our teenage babysitters were old maids. I don't see ten years old as just younger, no, it just must-have been a different person.

My God,,, I haven't seen some of this in decades! It reminds me of when I was a kid in the 60s and 70s when my parents and grandparents were still alive.

For me, growing up in L.A., it was Wonderama on Sunday mornings, then followed, if it was the time of the year, a Dodger game.

Sunday was the day for Bible study not television.

The thing that puzzled me when I watched these programs, the announcer said that they were in color, but our TV only showed them in black and white. 📺 Then in the 1970s the announcers stopped saying that the shows were in color and our new TV show them in color!

I am curious... since VCRs didn't exist in the 1960s, how did you compile these segments? I was born in the early 1960s, so these bring back so many happy memories for me...

When I was around 4, I asked my mother, "What is Gumby?" I thought she said, "He's a gingerbread faker". I didn't really get, thought o.k. whatever. Then I was in my 40s and driving down the street, and it hit me..."Ohhhh! Gingerbread FIGURE!"
