My favorite tone is emerald

Sand, wood, sea lamtern, stone, gold block, clay(+ on bedrock edition honey block), ice, wool, bone block, iron block, soul sand, pumpkin, emerald block, haybale, glowstone, air(nothing below the note block)

The "Pling" effect sounds like the muted electric guitar sound. Nice!

I know it already makes a xylophone sound but they should make it the placing sound instead

I really wish they had horns as an instrument. I think it'd would be really cool to be able to include trumpets or other brass instruments into note block songs...

just play THE FRICKEN NOTE BLOCKS BRO, imagine talking for 50 seconds minimum or 2 minutes max abt the types of blocks 😕

Wood: planks slabs, stairs, even craftingbtables. Anything made from wood gives you the bass sound. I personally use slabs cuz cheap.
