This song brings back memories of a long lost love that could never be. He is gone from this earth for well over 40 years but still has a tiny place in my heart.
Ответитьnot a bit but way too fast
Ответитьits abit too fast
ОтветитьAnd in my Duran Duran playlist with their cover and another by The Isley Brothers. Thanks for the upload!
ОтветитьGod I love you sooo Mr Dylan..my favorite video is the song "Lay lady lay" with The BEAUTIFUL SHARON TATE...Always playing it...RIP MISS SHARON TATE AND GOD BLESS YOU MR DYLAN..LOVE YOUR MUSIC..☮
ОтветитьBrook Benton covered this 2 years later.
ОтветитьAs of about dreams and wishes . . Did yours come true???
ОтветитьOriginally written for "Midnight Cowboy" but was not finished in time for the film's May 25, 1969 release.
ОтветитьAbsolute classic, sounds even better on vinyl
ОтветитьThis sounds weird compared to the album version, sped up so that Bob’s voice is slightly chipmunked and the bongos sound like paint cans. I remember hearing it as a kid on AM radio and thinking it was off. Sometimes they used to master 45s faster than album versions and sometimes radio stations had turntables that ran a little faster. Maybe it is just the poster’s turntable, but I definitely remember hearing a sped up version like this back when it came out.
ОтветитьThis was my ex-girlfriends favorite song. She called it our song.
Ответитьone of the all time greats
ОтветитьBest BD tune imo 🌹❤🌹
ОтветитьRusty , fall 1969 in the morning, on the ranch
Ответитьgod, so glad this came back. My favorite song, and SOUND.. ever.
ОтветитьI think this is only the 2nd time I've ever searched and pulled up this deeply poignant tune. I've never commented, but this was the single most played song my mother rigged to play over and over after her divorce from my father, which she deeply lamented. She would sit 10 feet away staring into her dresser mirror, drinking dry martinis shortly after dinner..."untill the break of day". Methodically, she drank herself to death by age 36. I was 12...my sister 14. Amazingly, she (Shirli) always made it to work as a registered dietitian and later as a vocational rehab counselor after only a couple hours sleep. Early Monday morning, 9-3-1973 my older sister's and my first day of school, she took her last breath while sitting up clutching her heart, as my sister witnessed. Take care of and love your mother, unconditionally, as much as she loves you. No one is perfect but I know she loved us and did her best before rehab was en vogue. I will always love her, forgive her, and look forward to seeing her again. To any alcoholics or substance abusers who have children especially, I hope this helps steer and keep you on the right path to recovery.
ОтветитьIsso é um presente...voei no tempo e no espaço!

Lay across my big brass 🛌
until the quarantine is over.
Your phonograph is playing way too fast, buddy. It makes BDs voice sound funny. You owe it to listeners, and to Bob, to do a better job. Please consider pulling this post and slowing it down. Thahks/

Perfeito, um clássico.
ОтветитьNothing like the sound of a turn table. Sorta like the buzz and clicks of old dial-up modems, seared in my brain.

ОтветитьCharlize Theron..North Country......
ОтветитьIs magic, great song always will be here....
ОтветитьOne of my favorite songs by Dylan. I love how he sings it and the words are amazing. The story behind it is interesting as well.
ОтветитьMuito bom
Ответитьsoooo much soul
ОтветитьPerfeito.
ОтветитьReminds me of that time I genuinely fell in love
ОтветитьRecuerdo a mi unico amor, era negra.
ОтветитьMy fav Dylan song!
ОтветитьHORRIBLE sound quality. I mean, seriously. The music and vocals sound hollow, with no substance, and kind of off key. Decent equipment would male this wonderful song sound so much better. I have the 45 too and the Nashville Skyline album and it sounds absolutely great.
ОтветитьCan't forget this song never will... Greatness has it's memoires...I was in Love on a big grass bed. What a time
ОтветитьThat turntable sounds horrible
