Battery has no acid in it cos its not a battery. It's an empty fake Exide case to take a modern battery like the one you put in it LOL

The ignition switch is on tbe headlight with a slot on it.

Got another tip for you, you may be able to resurrect the original paint under the ugly blue respray. Try a mild stripper don't leave it on very long and use wood for a scraper. You should be able to see if the paint under could be saved
