No matter what else happens in this film, I can never forgive Pratt's character for selfishly waking up Laurence's character early.

this movie upsets me so much the only reason I remember anything about the plot is that when I went to watch it being inside the cinema isolated my family from an angry mob doing stuff outside (wish I was joking) AND finding Arthur oddly attractive

I'm not sure if anyone else reacted this way, but especially after multiple viewings, I have now dubbed this one of my favorite films of all time.

When the bartender said, "Live a little", that's when Jim (Chris Pratt) really 'woke up'.

Great movie. When I saw the previews, I couldn't wait to see it. The reviews shocked me. How could that be? 30% on Rotten Tomatoes? I suspected political correctness immediately. That was quickly confirmed. The woke could not accept the Jennifet Lawrence character for ultimately forgiving the Chris Pratt character for stalking and then awakening her. He must be cancelled!! So must the film!!!
Anyway, that's my take.

Ok, so it's been two years since I last saw this movie and I have only just realized that MICHAEL freaking SHEEN is on this.

Lol... it's not that easy.

I know it’s easy to say, and I don’t want to minimize the devastating effects of being stuck in complete, permanent isolation, but… I think spending a lifetime « alone » with the undivided attention of someone like Arthur doesn’t seem so bad ! Despite his naivety and confusion when faced with complex emotions he doesn’t quite understand, he talks with such humanity that one tends to forget he’s an android. (Or maybe that’s just my autism sympathizing with the robot character as usual, I dunno. 😆)

The advice is generic, programmed bullshit, but oddly wise and comforting. I once lived in Samoa. I got sick of of it. England sucks too. But maybe it's just me.
