Now all I need to do is make a tablet out of the clay I make by hand and enscribe it in ancient sith, then bury it in the ground.
It's gonna confuse the hell out of scientists.
Always a pleasure to watch a true craftsman teach the elements of the craft. Thank you, keep up the great work.
ОтветитьStealing dirt.
ОтветитьI have like 1 ton of cracked dirt in my garage :/
Ответить'DIRT' is what you find on soiled cloths. Clay is found in 'SOIL'
Ответить"and while you're at it, have an adventure like I'm doing here!" slips and falls 😭
ОтветитьIs this clay applicable for sculpting portrait?
ОтветитьIf you want to catch nasty bacteria and fungus infections then go ahead and make your own clay
ОтветитьHow do you get different colors?
Ответитьjust to make things short, people who buy clay have no time, doesnt know how/dont have the acquired items or... lazy
ОтветитьAye bro adventures are cool but careful with that knee Cartlidge dawg
ОтветитьSo North America should be making more brick houses since bricks are made of dirt.
ОтветитьAmazing video! I live in Oklahoma where we have a lot of red dirt, and I have always wanted to try making something with it. I just didn’t have any idea of how to start. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьTHATS MY SNEEZING PACKET :(
ОтветитьI found clay in my yard in Alexandria, Virginia completely by accident while digging to make a garden. It's gray, almost blue. I can't wait to try making some pottery now!
ОтветитьI’m absolutely in love with your channel…you explain every step thoroughly…much appreciated ❤️
ОтветитьThis seems like a lot more time and work than just buying the damn clay.
Ответитьyou know you're a good filmer maker when I had no desire to look up how to make clay, nor do I ever intended to, but here I am watching an entire 12min video getting sucked in. great work!
ОтветитьWhatever you're calling as dirt is the one that feeds you...😌
ОтветитьThank you. The other video you referred to was disheartening
ОтветитьThis is seriously amazing!
ОтветитьClay is cheap... By the time I would have any clay with this process, I would be loosing moneybeacue of the timeit needs to make it ready.
ОтветитьThank you for the expert instruction. It literally left me with no questions. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Enjoy the day!
ОтветитьDoes this clay need to be fired or is it alright air dried?
ОтветитьMan, living in Florida on a sandbar hasn't bummed me out until clayware became interesting
ОтветитьMy wife wants me to find a new hobby, beyond video games. (I wholeheartdly agree. Just its hard to find something to do indoors.) This would strike the perfect compromise of getting me outside, and literally playing in the dirt like I used to do as a child.
ОтветитьThanks man! Very informative and well spoken, no BS, no filler. I thought of the pillow case about a minute before it appeared, I is so smort!
ОтветитьI like that he encouraged us to get out and have adventures. It is a shame we need to be reminded, but here we are.
ОтветитьI love that you added the warning
*WARNING: 24/7 screens are bad*
I discovered a true love of nature after 34 years of rolling my eyes and mumbling "Tree Hugger Nut Job" every time someone talked about nature. Lol it's something that becomes easier to understand, the older you get. But at that point you have wasted 1/3 or even 1/2 of your life ignoring it!!!!
Amazing video! I know a place with tire tracks that look exactly like the ones in this video, and I'm going to give this a try!
Ответитьtrue, staring at the internet is not good all day, but, knowing you were going to dig up dirt, and you didnt even bring a hand shovel? Not sure about where brain rot starts.
ОтветитьI'm 9 and I learned how to make pottery thank you
ОтветитьI hardly ever see videos as interesting as this one (btw I don't know anything about clay)
ОтветитьThe one and only source of information people require and trust these days: Google
ОтветитьIs that just dirty (clay) water going down the tubes, or can that be set aside for a few more days, added to other clay water to end up with a more-fine clay?
ОтветитьNot related, but I use dirt from my area as an abrasive. I pour water into sand, use a piece of cloth to pick it up and become impregnated, then I can rub it on metal for a coarse grind.
ОтветитьI kind of thought it self evident that clay could be made from dirt - after all, that's why ancient people used it since they were literally standing on it and recognized its properties. It wouldn't surprise me if kids or adults playing around in mud (as they may be want to do) made a few figures and someone tossed them in a fire and saw they survived. It's only a step from that to effigies, bowls, bricks etc.
Ответить"you gotta add something like sand to it so it doesn't crack"
me: oh.... OH. So that's why the light grey clay I used to dig up as a child and mold into things would break!
TIL haha.
Child me would've been ecstatic to learn this back then ahaha, not sure I can find the grey clay for free nearby atm though, might have to ask bf's parents if they got a part of their garden they don't need and plan on digging up x)
Great Video Thank You
ОтветитьMy cousins and I used to make "tierra limpia" clean dirt in Spanish so we could fire small duplo sized bricks to build little cities in his backyard. I don't even remember where we got the idea to do it, but we would simply keep screening Sonoran desert dirt until we had moldable mud. Great memories.
ОтветитьI clicked not knowing I would become a pro clay connoisseur in the next 20 minutes. Ask me anything :v
ОтветитьDo we add 20% by volume, or 20% by weight?
ОтветитьWell, I make sculptures that I'm considering selling and I live in Arizona. This is a goldmine for me. Maybe I should reconsider my day job lol
ОтветитьExactly, it's good to adventure. I like your style.
Ответитьim getting a pottery wheel in a week for my birthday, this is really informational for if im ever on a budget/saving up, thank you
