Catalytic Hydrogenation: This process is typically considered aprotic. It involves the addition of hydrogen (H₂) to unsaturated bonds (like double bonds) using a catalyst, without involving any solvent that donates protons.
Enantiomerically Pure Product: If a reduction process is not stereospecific, achieving an enantiomerically pure product often involves using a chiral catalyst or starting material. Alternatively, a resolution process can separate enantiomers after the reaction.
Chirality in 1-Phenyl, 1-Hydroxyl, 2-Methylaminopropane: Yes, this compound contains chiral centers at carbon 1 and carbon 2 of the propane chain. The phenyl and hydroxyl groups on carbon 1 and the methylamino group on carbon 2 create stereocenters.
Reduction to Methamphetamine: The reduction of the compound to methamphetamine typically involves the removal of the hydroxyl group, which eliminates the chiral center at carbon 1. Methamphetamine retains a chiral center at carbon 2.
I kinda feel bad for Victor, he just got roasted the hell out of and then one minute later he got his throat slit.
ОтветитьThis is what Walt meant when he said it's a "violation of the workplace". B R A V O B I N C E
ОтветитьWalter proved that exactly why he is the best cook...
ОтветитьYou know… Quasimodo predicted all this.
ОтветитьThis is the moment Victor isn't having victory
ОтветитьYou're not flipping hamburgers here, pal.
ОтветитьVictor died mentally and physically after Walt’s insults and Gus’s box cutter
ОтветитьI died when walt said you're not flipping hamburgers here pal 😭😭
ОтветитьAfter trying to teach thousands of students, he was waiting for this moment all his life.
ОтветитьThis.. this.. chicanery!? He defecated through a sunroof
ОтветитьWhy does walt say this... And then hunt for a noun before describing victor? Sus
ОтветитьCrazy that I watched the birth of Metal Militia right in my own neighborhood and now I’m seeing it on Jesse’s shirt. I never thought it would be as big as it got.
ОтветитьMy favorite part of this scene is when Gus takes the box cutter from the drawer and Walter can't help but start stuttering while he keeps shit talking Victor, such great direction on this show.
ОтветитьYuuu furgot de aluuuminum!
ОтветитьI would assume the reduction would eliminate the l-methamphetamine or R enantiomer, allowing the product to only contain d-methamphetamine or the S enantiomer.
ОтветитьWalter's high school teacher PTSD with dumb students seemingly resurfaced in this scene.
ОтветитьTHIS PERSON DOESN’T KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE’S DOING 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Ответитьi think that angry little shrug walt does after mike sits him down is hilarious, like walter's not just the most scared he's ever been, but he's also the angriest.
ОтветитьMeth wasn’t the only thing getting cooked in this lab.
ОтветитьKeep in mind that if Victor successfully convinces anyone present that he can cook, Walt and Jesse are dead. Man is belittling for his life.
ОтветитьIt’s RAW!
ОтветитьGus put that short order cook out of his misery
ОтветитьFirst I cook this meth, then I cook you
Ответить💀👍
ОтветитьDoing math homework with your dad:
Ответитьi love how Jesse is js sitting there after going thru the most traumatic experience of his life (until that point)
ОтветитьWhen my clients tell me they will work with someone else
ОтветитьHow the teacher acts when I ask a reasonable question
ОтветитьIf this was the sopranos some slurs would get said
ОтветитьA perfect example of an external viva exam
ОтветитьMethamphetamine wasn’t the only thing Heisenberg cooked
Ответить"You're not flipping hamburgers here pal"
Gus might very well have been insulted by that and thus insulted by Victor too, Gus' standards at the Los Pollos restaurants were exceptionally high and so Victor "flipping burgers" with his Meth lab might have got him killed.
Walt told him to go home and get his shine box. I like seeing that.
Ответитьhaha ... poor guy died after that barrage of insults
ОтветитьVictor got burned worse than Gus.
ОтветитьWho else knows that the actor off victor is the voice off Eagle flies from rdr2
ОтветитьVictor tried to cook Walt's recipe so Walt cooked him
ОтветитьRemember kids most of your favorite drugs were invented by chemist 😊
ОтветитьThis was me after graduation
ОтветитьIt's ironic that Walt still sides with Jesse after talking so cut throat to Victor like that. Later when Gus brings Jesse to Mexico, he didn't know what was what because he knows a particular ingredient as "The barrel with the bee on it"
Everything he's saying to Victor could be said to Jesse and be just as correct.
Jesse staring off into space as Walt roast the ever living shit out of Walter got me sent
Ответитьwalt really lays down the law here! wonder how the rest of the scene works out for him. quite well i assume
ОтветитьHaha
ОтветитьI love how, for all Walt knows, these could be his final moments, and he’s spending it roasting Victor.
Ответить
