Air Force is great but promotion slow. Go to army become a warrant officer. Best job in military. Good pay, specialist and no pushing out of the military if do not make rank❤❤❤❤

everything this dude mentioned is literally the same and all branches of the military. Why did I join the Marines? Because I wanted to feel challenged and wanted to earn my paycheck. Something about the grittiness and challenge that the USMC offers is whats attractive to me, but regardless, whatever branch suits your needs, that’s the branch that you should go for and remember all benefits are the same.

I served in the air force after I graduated high school in 2001. I was a loadmaster, loved it and got to travel a lot. My grandpa was in the air force as well. It runs in the family. The best quality of life in the military.

I wish I would have known about all the benefits the Air Force had to offer back in the day. My cousin, who is female, was in the Air Force & for the past 20 years has had a secure high paying job. She lives better than me & I have a bachelor's and master's degree. And she has such a great career.

I am 17 and have wanted to join either army or air force, but im ahveing a hard time designing. I want to fly, and I love planes, but im a good hunter, and im very good with a rifle, I think the army would also be a good fit and i have some of those skills. Im confused and needed your help. Decisions still haven't been made, but this definitely helped me see the other sides.

1 thing about Job Security, I was in the AF (86-90) and was looking to make it a career, BUT thanks to the Armed Force Reduction Act of 1989 my plans got derailed and was released (with an honorable discharge). So job security is really not there if the US Gov decides to reduce the military manning. BUT I did enjoy my time in the AF, got to see almost all of Europe and some nations in the Middle East, got to see Japan and S Korea.

Oh lord . I did 20 years and here what i tell you .If you have nothing else and i mean no options ,it beats being homeless. Get the best job you can, get the certs, do the min time and run for the gate ASAP. There is way to much money to be made in the civillian world now

Your AF experience is all about what job you end up with and where they send you. Security Forces wasn't going to be that bad but they put me at the worst base they could. If you join stay away from Missouri. The name is true to how it is, absolute misery.

Is anyone here in the AF with kids? If so, would you recommend it still? Pros cons? I have two kids ans have this feeling i should join. Yhe only thing i am thinking about is my kids but i know no matter what i choose to do, if i am going to give them a good life, i will have to spend some tike away either way and why waste my time on a minimum wage job when i could use that time to work towards an actual career. Ya know?
