MY ENTIRE Physical TBR (119 Books...) I'm Starting a book buying ban

The reason the Carissa broadbent books are different is because the duology has been trad published and the novella hasn’t but is soon. Indie published books tend to be larger and much much higher quality in my opinion. I have all of her indie covers vs trad. And for the kingdom of wicked, you’re supposed to read this trilogy first then throne of the fallen is a spin off. Also, check out her stalking Jack the Ripper series, it’s phenomenal!!

Based on ,most of your books, I have read most lol. I don’t think the Adeline series will be for you. It’s absolutely horrible a lot of non consensual r@pe, suuuuupppppper dark. I would encourage you to watch a video about starter “dark” books and start there to see how you feel. Adeline is traumatic. I’m like you, I like the easy fun and cute romance. The rest are amazing

You dont necessarily have to read the kingdom of the wicked series before throne of the fallen, but i HIGHLY recommend, because the main character has his first appearance there and its even more fun to read his own story after kingdom of the wicked💝

Ali Hazelwood’s MOST popular book / my favourite book of hers is The Love Hypothesis !! Love on the Brain can’t even compete to that in my opinion

I've recently noticed that a lot of series novellas or prequels etc. are considerably taller than the rest of the series, I don't have an explanation but it does seem to be common and I don't understand it either

How did you get your hands on "Once upon a broken heart" in hardcover? They are so hard to find....
By the way, Kingdom of the Wicked is by my favourite author, I especially loved the last book!
Oh and since you didn't mention it...Six of Crows is set like after the Shadow and Bone Triology

The Harry Potter books 1-3 are Middle Grade books and the rest is YA, but I loved all of them (the first volume not so much tbh)

Kingdom of ash series read it before throne. And blood and ash read first.

i have a problem of loving to buy new books but being quite a slow reader, so i have ended up having so many books that reading all of them is going to take me about 4 years to read 😭

You should read the grisha trilogy by leigh bardugo before you start with six of crows. It takes place in the same world but earlier.

I wouldn’t put red rising in the fantasy section. I would put it in the sci-fi section. It’s such an amazing series I totally recommend you read it. I also recommend you read the six of crows duology. It’s absolutely one of my favorite series ever. Definitely in the top five. You should also finish a good girls guide to murder series. There are two more after a good girls guide to murder and they are so good and worth it.

I don't know if you know about this website Fantastic Fiction, but I thought I would throw it out there. You can look up an author, book, book series and it will give you the books in order. Not necessarily in "world order" but in order order within the series if that makes sense. I hope this helps. Love this video by the way. My TBR is huge 😂

When you are finally off your book buying ban (and if you want to explore contemporary fiction), I highly recommend The Guncle by Steven Rowley and A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. And if you love Greek Mythology, A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes and Circe by Madeline Miller are some of my favorite books of all time.

From Blood and Ash is the first in the series of 6 (im about to start book 4, such a good series!) I think ACOTAR is actually better to read first over TOG and CC..
The serpent and the wings of night has absolutely no parallels to Twilight 😂BUT it is a very good read if you like strong feisty female main characters.
That many physical books on my TBR would STRESS ME OUT 😅 but i'm with you, when i like something i hyper fixate too!

I'm currently reading a historical fiction trilogy (40% through book 2 rn) if you want book recs, its a really good one. The Unmasked Trilogy by McKenna Rowell if you wanna know

Also my favorite indie book trilogy is the Mageye trilogy by Paris Kaufman (she has some exciting plans for the series in 2024 as well :D)

My goals for this year for reading is 1. to read at least 50 books 2. read my whole shelf (with like harry potter, percy jackson, narnia, series of unfortunate events, etc) and read the top two shelves of my big bookshelf, then at least half of my historical fiction/non-fiction shelf :)

And to read my collector versions of the four folklore/fairytales I have :D
