These stories hold true more than ever now as it really shows how war can really damage people I mean look at the US who looks at war in a positive light and brainwash their citizens to believe they are good people and fighting the bad guys even when they lie and invade other peoples homes and kill innocents and from that we have people that get desensitized to violence when they break they go on killing sprees like the most recent mass shooting or any of the others that have happened in this year alone.

There is a lot of mistakes in this assessment. 1 "Hashirama's concept of peace is unattainable and an impossible due to human diversity, belief and mental varying degrees of mental health! 2. Gaara was wrong in his definition of what reality is? as it being a state of existence (whether it is in "the matrix", the wired (serial ex Lain) or the I.T.) it becomes the reality. 3. There is no such thing as free will!!! (how many times has this argument been debunked). 4. Madara's concept to achieve peace through artificial means was correct as opposed to hashima's futile efforts towards peace that can never be attained.

The fact they hyped him from Early naruto we didn't see him until like 300 episodes very well built up character props to kisho for hyping him at first it was a name being throne around then drops that bomb when the real madera reserects and the fake one being obito blew my mind even further

I great test to see if someone is a true Naruto fan is if they are unable to say the Madara Uchia in a normal tone of voice.

Cause I swear for the 100s of times that name is said in this series. It’s only ever said normally maybe 5 times.

To be honest Madara’s solution is the one I would agree with rather than the Naïve honesty pitiful excuses for peace that Hashirama and Naruto extolled you may say that Kishimoto thought Naruto’s way was correct but take a look at the cloud and leaf they are making weapons to be a step ahead of the other villages in case of war like the Cloud’s cannon that could destroy a small planet if the leaf and cloud went to war they would have the advantage proving Madara’s point and even though Naruto and Sasuke are keeping the peace through fear of their power they won’t be around forever and if you Hokage naruto fans jump me and say “Bu-bu-but Kishimoto made it clear that Naruto and Hashirama’s ideals were narratively correct”I’d simply say they are naïve stubborn and just illogical paths to peace Nagato’s and Madara’s solutions were correct so I don’t care about what Kishimoto narratively said or about Naruto’s talk no jutsu.

Kind of makes you wonder if the ends justify the means? Like yeah his logic was flawed. Because of his loneliness he thought free will would never lead to peace. However by being the thing everyone rallied against, he got them to peace. A shame he wasn't around to see it, like you said, but I mean after all the atrocity and bloodshed it worked, for a time at least.

I think if he wanted to last longer you'd need to combine the will of fire, and the eternal dream. Since the nature of free will is change. Get them to defend peace as much as they defend their villages, get them to idolize it as much as madara did. Could you do that with war and brutality? Yes, but you'd have to be even more extreme to get it burned into society. And it is the faster route. However the slower route, is just changing what you can of viewpoints that have the most power. Changing the nature of each leader, individually with talks. Then getting them to institutionalize the lessons in their respective societies. Do it coherently enough, and they may all just have a similiar enough idea of peace and the will to defend it in time. But like I said, itd take longer than just being the one thing everyone can point to and go "lets avoid that at all costs." Though, another problem with being so bad you inspire greatness to counter you, is that a lot of people will just see you as powerful and wish to attain that power for themselves, thereby prepetuating monsters.

So really the only way to permanently achieve it is strategic Talk no Jutsu. Because peace based on fear will eventually fade, as fear fades. But peace based on community last as long as the community.

Apes togehter, strong. Yanno? Only problem is to get peace idealized in such a way youd need to change the way power is looked at too. And leaders. And war. War is seen as an unfortunate reality, not the barbaric enemy to be avoided.

Wouldn’t you also hate to have people you cared about fighting beside you when all they ever did was die? That’s the thought I had when I think of Madara trying to everything alone. If Madara didn’t exist if we didn’t have him as the big bad, what would be the point of Naruto as the chosen one?

Madara's vision for the world disgusts me deeply. It was not realistic and did not take into account multiple perspectives.
