Then to essentially wrap the game up in the first half, Ramy Bensebaini put an exclamation mark on the first half with a goal in the 44’ he was able to beat the keeper to a deflection and fired it into the back of the net.
Monchengladbach would go on to flex their muscle over Shakhtar Donetsk in the second half with a goal in the 65’ by Lars Stindl and Plea capped off his hat trick in the 78’ to seal the 6-0 win.
After taking down Real Madrid, Shakhtar hasn’t been able to find any type of offensive rhythm. They have been outscored 8-0 since going up 3-0 on Real Madrid on Matchday 1.
