The DEI zealots have spread like a cancer throughout the film and entertainment industry. It’s turned most of everything coming out of the film and entertainment industry into a steaming pile of crap. They even race swapped a burly male Nordic king Jarl Haakon in Vikings Valhalla with a black woman. And the worst of them all was what Amazon did to Tolkiens writings in their rings of power show. Yes, there were people of color in Tolkiens middle earth, but they were from places like Far Harad. That could have easily been included in Rings of Power and fans would have loved it. But they went the DEI extremist route and race swapped elves and dwarves instead. Totally disrespecting the lore. They disrespected other parts of the lore in many other ways but I’m not going to delve too deeply in that now.
The bottom line is viewers don’t want extremist political agendas shoe horned into their their movies and streaming shows. And they don’t want to be preached to. The just want the film and entertainment industry to re-focus on providing the best movies and entertainment as possible. That means casting the people that fit the roles best. Someone like Zegler was great for the role of Maria in west side story. She would also fit the role of an Ancient Mesopotamian queen or Bronze Age Egyptian queen. She does NOT fit the role of Snow White. Enough with this DEI ridiculousness. Just choose the people that fit the roles the best.

I wish people would get off Rachel Ziegler’s back. Yes she said stupid stuff about a kids movie from a century ago but she’s young, impressionable, naive and I’m sure she’s being fed a lot of BS at Disney anyways. She’s a great actress for her age and I want to see her succeed. And any Latina succeeding is a success for anyone of us to me :)

Watching this in 2023 and all I think of now is Nicholas Galitzine playing tony now. With the voice he has he would be perfect 🤩

Totally disagree.....the actor is unable to feel and show the emotions in the song, the body language is absent. She is totally focused on getting that song out, about her. As for the 'Tony'...he is no Richard Beymer, handsome, touching and feeling....one another behaving as lovers, as real lovers do. This movie is an insult to one of the greatest, most successful motion pictures of all time. It can never, never be reproduced. This generation wants to erase history and make it all about themselves. They just got here...yet, they think they invented the wheel. Disney...lame duck for the money, chasing it, chasing it.

It’s a shame. Had she not acted out in the Snow White premiere, it would have been a hit.

Watching this with the volume down filling in the blanks with what I know about her. Is she talking about the patriarchy and telling the guy he’s lucky to not have his scenes cut?
