Has anyone swapped a K20 into a K20 pickup truck?
Ответитьi just bought an fd2 right of the ship with 130k km its near mint and like this will stay, its such a masterpiece that i will keep it bone stock
Ответить2025, still relevant! Such a great engine that will never be seen again. K20A engine owner here ❤
ОтветитьWhat about my crosstours k24y2 engine? Is that good to mod?
Ответитьsuperb and thorough content - thank you
ОтветитьI wish i could get into the higher reving engines...
Nothing does it for me but the rumble of a v8😮💨
It would so awesome if you did an Iconic Engine video on the C30 V6 from the NSX! I love your content and hope you see this 🫶
ОтветитьMake a video on the D-series
Ответить😂 glad I stayed for the RAP!! 😅
Nicely done, my man
Great video, Loved your rap! And in a foreign language to boot? You da man! ;-)
ОтветитьA good engine but overrated. Heads flow well they rev well. But most of them to make significant power they have to be torn apart sleeved reinforced. Which gets expensive. And any engine can make 700hp if you rebuild it totally and reinforce everything. How many are making 400WHP without boost or opening it up??? But it has the reputation it can nearly rival an LS Coyote as a 4 cylinder. A very good efficient engine. But not as good as 4g63, rs20,3SGT
ОтветитьI've just purchased 3 K20s after this video.
ОтветитьI miss my '00 S2000. Best car i ever owned. That thing was telepathic.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьMy dream is to have a 300hp NA k20 prepared for the track, it would obviously be very expensive but dreaming doesn't cost anything, right 😅
ОтветитьGot a civic with the k20a3 and as much as I love the car, trying to fix this knock sensor issue is driving me bonkers lol
Ответитьthe "good" versions are starting to get very expensive
Ответитьjeee, rap time!
ОтветитьI have 2 honda streams ( k20a1 RN3) always wanted to put an engine in a kitcar.
Anyone knows a suitable kitcar?
suzuki
g13ba 8v in: 36mm ex: 30mm
g16a 8v in: 36,6mm ex: 32,5mm
suzuki wins 😎
I'd want one of these about the H23a
ОтветитьJust bought a 2007 civic type R ( fairly cheaply ), changed engine oil, filter an plugs etc, and that engine bounces off rev limiter no problem and purrs like a kitten at low rpm, six speed box as smooth as silk, i swear to god it drives like new, i am so impressed with it.
ОтветитьReally? The engine in the S2000 was the most powerful per litre of all naturally aspirated engines when it was launched? You didn't state any conditions on that record, such as "production car engine," so let's put that statement to the test by comparing it to some naturally aspirated production engines from our "two-wheeled friends."
1998 Honda VFR800Fi:
781cc naturally aspirated V4 (though many people think it's 782cc because of the next generation engine with VTEC and desaxed crank, so we'll use 782cc to make it a bit lower hp/litre)
80kW (107hp)
107 / 0.782 = 136.8 hp/L (easily beats the S2000's engine, and it's by no means the most powerful naturally aspirated motorcycle engine for its day, as we'll see below).
1998 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R
899cc naturally aspirated I4
104kW (139hp)
139 / 0.899 = 154.6 hp/L
1998 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
599cc naturally aspirated I4
78.4kW (105hp)
105 / 0.599 = 175.3 hp/L
So... As is clearly seen from the figures above, the engine in the S2000 was not the most powerful naturally aspirated engine on a per litre basis when it was released. Of production cars, it may well have had the record, but certainly not of "all naturally aspirated engines" (you didn't make the distinction of it being in a car, so you left it open to compare it to motorcycles). Even the notoriously "middle aged man" bike, the VFR800Fi, had more power per litre than the engine in the S2000, and even that was eclipsed by the ZX-6 (which itself might not have held the record for all that I know).
Do a video on worlds largest engine
ОтветитьI refuse to deny you the like button
ОтветитьWhat about the gearbox? Would that handle the extra power? Im talking about an Accord automatic gearbox.
ОтветитьEpa has smashed people rights to mod.
ОтветитьI’m not a car nerd but the content of the video was very interesting. Maybe you should improve a little bit the room acoustics and use another background which isn’t so boring. An Office with book shelves, plants, posters, pictures 3D- car models, etc. would be great.
ОтветитьFormer proud owner of the economy K24 in a base Accord LX.
Ответитьnice rap!
ОтветитьI was too poor to afford a RSX-s (teenager) but man I wish they still made cars exactly like that. I’d pay 35k for a new 2006 rsx-s if they sold them new
ОтветитьSo sad when I totaled my 2010 cr-v. it wasn’t like a civic si or fast at all but was the most reliable car I’ve ever had. I’m in Detroit and even the motor city I see about 10 on the road everyday.
I’ll bet the 2007-2011 crv will go down in history as the most reliable suv ever (not counting 4 runners lol)
Put a k20a in my 2000 em1 civic. It is soo much fun. 220hp with a 6 speed in a light weight chassis 💪🏼
ОтветитьThe b16 and b18 are arguably more iconic
ОтветитьOne question. You refer about crankshaft difference in the video. If i already have a car with k20z2 (eco) can i replace the crankshaft to the high performance one like used in k20a2? I ask about this cuz engine swap is very strict in my country, it is even very difficult to buy machines from abroad. Also, there is no car with a good k20 here.
ОтветитьYou complete me engine man.....hair is getting long ya hippie!
ОтветитьI’ve watched this like 5 times and I already knew all of these facts from being a Honda nerd myself, great video. Can’t wait to watch it again someday
ОтветитьJust checked, and yes, there’s a K 24 turbocharged Honda CBR frame motorcycle 😳
ОтветитьAs a lifelong rotary guy, I’ve become a huge fan of the K24. The RSX from That Racing Channel is an absolute weapon. What’s astonishing is that those engines can make quite a bit more power.
ОтветитьThis video was really cool and informative, i'd love to see one about subaru's FA20 in the futur
ОтветитьK20 is insane! freakin good. Until Honda went to the turbocharged way with integrated manifold in the head, and cooling the exhaust gas etc.. Suffer from overheating all day long.
ОтветитьThe rappin' at the outtro oddly was my favorite part. Didn't see that coming.
ОтветитьWait, didn't bike engines make way over 125hp/L before the F20C?
ОтветитьI yanked out my junky Tylium drive out of my Cylon interceptor to drop in this reliable and more powerful K20
Ответить
