Is this guy a salesman? So fricking annoying, just talk about the engineering side of things who cares about the rest. This video was terribly annoying, half of what you speak is nonsense. You obviously know nothing so you just read the company marketing pitch of their ships. Work harder and make interesting videos, this is low quality

typical yank tosh really though, so now go research the Condor Vitesse, but yet its a yank video, so no one else can have the glory now can they, even if it is theirs to rightfully have. just the same as a yank navy military videos, alas would like to see their chances facing off with Russia's Peter The Great though,, you know their Bismarck sized battleship with far better deck gun range and accuracy, owe and an arsenal of state of the art weapons systems.

I recall reading that the USS Enterprise's top speed was set at 30 Knots but that its top speed wasn't known because they feared that if they let its turbines loose, the water pressure could crush the bow.
I'll wager that all of those carriers have similar restrictions!.
Their true flank speed is unknown!

With the smaller boats. I see where a Rogue Wave would not affect them as much. Maybe losing your meal. But with the large ships will be very serious problems.

FYI, "The Spirit of Tasmania III" is almost identical to the Superfast ferries that connect Greece and Italy and sail in this route for the past 30 years ! (we are talking about sister ships here)

Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas is a mammoth 365 meters long (nearly 1,200 feet) and will weigh a projected 250,800 tonnes. I love the grounded reality of this channel!!, Despite the Recession I'm so happy withdrawing $35k weekly profit out of my investment and can now afford anything and also support food banks here in Louisiana

RMS Queen Mary 2 is probably the fastest cruise ship 29,62 knots.

Ответить
American Rambler
American Rambler - 11.08.2023 00:28

Over half the ships shown in this video are not the fastest in class currently in service, or in history. There are a number of cruise ships currently operating which are faster. I even went for a cruise on one of them in 2016 and it’s still in service. And it is considerably faster. And that is with its gas turbine unit mothballed. It’s only using its diesel engines! Even today, the fastest ocean liner to sail the seas is still the SS United States and it’s been parked since 1966. The Zumwalt destroyer class is not the fastest destroyer class built. Not even close. It’s more optimized for stealth than speed. The fastest speed reached by a destroyer was 45.25 knots (83.42 km/h or 52 mph) by the 2,900 ton French destroyer, Le Terrible in 1935.
