"Helloooo"
ОтветитьIt's a nice scene and good quotes by Bogart; it is not the "best ever". Always whenever that phrase "best ever" pops up we get that sort of thing. From now on say "best ever in my opinion".
ОтветитьI would have asked her to keep the glasses.
ОтветитьTake off your glasses--disgusting--a clear case of body shaming.
ОтветитьOf all the great lines Bogart had in movies, that one is still one of my favorites. "I'd a lot rather get wet in here."
ОтветитьHey , they're both grownups, they've likely been both around the block a few times.
ОтветитьI like her glasses though.
Ответить"hello!"
"hello!" lol
WTF
ОтветитьRegular people: this is a great movie
Intellectuals: The big sleep… THE BIG SLEEP! THE BIG SLEEP! THE BIG SLEEP!
That scene is right up there with Patricia Neal kicking her shoes off in front of John Wayne in "In Harms Way" They don't make them like they used to.
ОтветитьCool thanks for the update and I live Hollywood and really This is what just as in the 1940s and still today a number one actor and great job 😀👍.
ОтветитьI have a feeling they fucked on that table.
ОтветитьI've worn glasses since I was 9 and every once and a while some man will ask me if I have to wear them. I say only if I want to see and walk away. Any guy who demands changes before he honors you with a kiss is a loser.
ОтветитьOk Bogart, but she looks better with glasses.
ОтветитьHello ...
ОтветитьAhhh, different times. I almost envy him the innocence of blatant sexual objectification and the fact she seems to revel in being objectified. Still, I think it’s one of the best detective thrillers ever made, and I don’t care who knows it. Right up there with L A Confidential, The Maltese Falcon, The Departed, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and all the best episodes of Columbo, for me.
ОтветитьTry that today.
ОтветитьI'm just going to "knocking shop"
I mean locking the shop.
Would you like two lumps and extra cream in your rye "I mean coffee"
Bottoms up and Knickers down kid
"I mean bottoms up and down the hatch"
Small talk is a lost art.
ОтветитьGotta love just about every scene in this film. The definition of Class.
ОтветитьDMalone after taking off her glasses and letting her hair down: Better? Bogie: "Helllllooooo!"
ОтветитьShe looks like a more mature Alicia Silverstone
ОтветитьAs A classic noir fan I wish when Bogart asked her to take her glasses off she slapped him and said your 20 years to late Old man. So many better actors for me.
ОтветитьI like the female cabbie scene 🎬 here’s my card call me…. When should I call day or night. Nighttime I work days. 😊 too bad the Marlow remake was so bad
ОтветитьAre they drinking Cough Syrup?
ОтветитьHello... I'm buying this film !
ОтветитьRaymond Chandler, more than any writer before or since, has captured the poetry and paltriness that are the heart of Los Angeles, his characters move within the shadow of the Hollywood machine-tough, chauffeurs, dames and the wealthy gone bad. Haunting, flawed, and larger than life. Mr. Chandler I am in you seem to get the attention of people.
ОтветитьGod I wish I lived in 40s la...and I was Humphrey bogart
Ответить"Would you mind looking prettier for me?" 😂🤣
ОтветитьShe's making the googly eyes at a man who is basically a tiny version of her dad.
ОтветитьThis happened to me once. I walked up to the lady and said, “I CAN GET US A BOTTLE!”
Then I bring her back to my place and I turned off all the lights and laid down on top of her for about 5-10 minutes.
"Perhaps you would like to finish reading that book after you pay for it?" That's what I get.
ОтветитьIf Bogie had made such a proposal like a drink in a bookstore on a rainy day, I would have jumped at the chance. He just had that certain something. Maybe that's why Mayo Methot was so jealous and fought so hard to cage him.
ОтветитьHappen to me once when I was good looking young rooster and visiting a small out of the way fabric store. She did'nt utter a word, but the eyes said it all. A table I backed into blocked my escape and the petite little thing knew exactly what she was doing, right little honey trap, quite forward.
ОтветитьI believe this was Dorothy Malone's first movie & Bogie was great!
ОтветитьThe Big Sleep? More like the Big Hello.
ОтветитьAnd then they necked for hours! It was titillating and flew in the face of propriety.
Ответитьwhen she shuts the door and pulls the shade down, I was like, OH SHIT
ОтветитьDorothy Malone in this scene reminds me of Eva Green
ОтветитьHe got nervous and stumbled over the cheers part . lol 😅
ОтветитьWhere's the nearest Acme Book Store?
ОтветитьNone more cool than Bogart.. cooler than the other side the pillow
ОтветитьThat's beautiful. And like life.
ОтветитьHonestly, it is ALL of the small scenes like this that make this movie great.
ОтветитьDorothy Malone not only won an Oscar in 1956 for Written On The Wind but she lived to be 92 years old….how lucky !
Ответитьthese are looking better and better with all the impossible crap that are called 'movies' today
ОтветитьAfter closing the door, she might have turned FDR’s portrait on the wall around, had she a modicum of decency.
